Hello All,

Anyone running this tire on a daily driver? Looking to move up to a 37 from a 35x10.5 Kenda Klever and wanting something with a more aggressive tread look.
Trying to minimize noise and general MT traits and keep the overall great drivability of the RT with the MT.
Yes I know, have my cake and eat it too…
Any opinions on your experience with these tires would be greatly appreciated. Specifically compared to what you were running before.

@ajkaz I don't have the Yokohomas but I'm considering the 35x10.5 Kenda Klevers for my daily driver. I'm still using stock tires. What are your thoughts on them? Good? Bad? Noisy?

I am running the Yokohama Geolandar MT G003. I really like them. I used them through the Rubicon Trail and many other 4wheel trips. I am on my second rotation from Americas Tire. I rotate every 5K miles or less. The sidewall is softer than the Goodyear Kevlar MTRs that I came from and they also wear better and are better on the street. They were very quiet at first, but, have got louder recently. They do not chunk as bad as the Goodyears, but, I do have one chunk on one lug on one tire. They also seem to wear much better on the street than the Goodyear Kevlar MTRs, and they are a softer ride. They are light, and I would buy them again. Here they are with a Clayton 3.5 inch lift on my truck.

They are great tires, super quiet and handle very well on road. They do great in snow and wet weather as well. Traction off road is very good, better than an AT especially in the mud.
It was nice having a narrower tire that didnt stick out of the fender as well.

Only reason I'm looking at other tires is because I'm going up in size and am looking for the more extreme MT look without some of the harsh characteristics. I'm still considering these in a 37 as well.

I think your recommendation is spot on. There are a few off roaders in the office that sware by the Yokohama Goelandar MT G003.

Rotating more frequently is a must to help resist heal and toe wear, and can help to resist noise as they wear.

That's a hard one to come up with, its been my experience that when someone buys a mud terrain tire, they forgo ride quality. Noise Etc.

I would pay attention to those that have had their tires long term and can attest to its ability to maintain a quality ride, considering.

I have been looking at these, Cooper STT Pro’s, Mickey Thompson M/Ts, and Toyo M/Ts (General Grabber always highly rated). To be honest an aggressive A/T would make way more sense like a big Falken A/T or Mickey A/T.
But I’m with you I love the look. I plan on keeping stock 33” Falkens for snow runs or whatever. If not I’d go Mickey Thompson A/Ts as solo tire. Guys run the Rubicon with those, too.
FWIW I can’t find many direct comparisons, one guy said his Toyo’s were slightly better than Coopers. Take one review with grain of salt. I haven’t found many reviews of the MT M/T but like the look.

I bought some heavily used goodyear MT/R for cheap to test 37s. They ride like absolute shit and can’t balance them. I’d never buy a new one and people on here seemed to have used them before, switched to something else, and are happier.

I love mine, they're 38's. On of the quietest MT tires I've owned. I only have about 8k miles on them so I don't know their longevity yet.

Don’t have time to post details as right now but I have them (Geolandars 35’s) and am getting ready to replace them with the exact same thing. Best damn tires I’ve ever had.

BTW, the Coopers were the loudest damn MT tires I’ve ever heard as they started to wear. Geo’s are the quietest for MT’s n my experience. Also very long lived.
