Doing research on track bars before I pull the trigger here shortly.

I'll be completely honest, the orange option on the Core4x4 track bars is pushing me that direction as it matches for the Mojave trim.

On the other hand the Steersmarts has a lot of incredible reviews and seems like the no brainer.

They are both priced about the same as well which makes this more difficult decision.

Does anyone have any experience with each of these and could lend some advice in this decision?

I prefer to be able to adjust the track bar with out removing it and I don't want to have to grease it to maintain. So my vote between the 2 is steer smarts.

Good point, I did read that the Core4x4 isn't adjustable while on vehicle but only from one person.

If that is the case, that's an easy decision to go with SS.

Yes, if you look at them you see that the Core has only one adjustment end. So you have to remove one end and turn the bar or head depending on what end you removed. The SS has like a turnbuckle so you can just loosen up the locking bolts and turn the center section.

This will make centering the axel much easier because you can do it with the truck fully weighted and everything connected.

Go buy some orange spray paint. ;-)

You guys are making this too easy, love it.

Thank you for the help on this.

Now would there be any reason to get the Pro vs the regular track bar? It’s a small price difference but are the poly bushings that much better than rubber?

I have the core 4 x 4 and, being 100% not an expert in anything to do with steering components, I’ve been very pleased with it so far.

I hit the grease points once every other month and have never had any issues with it squeaking or loosening or anything.

I can appreciate people wanting to be able to adjust it without taking it off. But as far as my understanding goes you should only have to adjust it once to reyour front axle… And then be done with it.

Agreed as far as not needing to adjust many times by any means but for the same price essentially, I'd want the option to be there.

If Core was $50+ cheaper, it would have an edge per se, but for the same price and losing adjustability, that is less than ideal.

I have the pro from steer smarts but only because when I ordered that was the only thing in stock. I don't think the poly will make a huge difference one way or the other.

I had the core 4x4 tier 4 on my JKU. Adjusting it without having to unbolt it would have been nice. But I think I had to consider clearance issues on the Yeti with the adjuster sleeve. Might not be an issue with the JT.
But yeah, get it set to the correct length once and then be done with it... Well, at least until time for maintenance. Would have been nice not to have to grease it. Once less thing to deal with.
In summary, no clearance issue, get the Yeti. hahaha..

Sorry for being completely clueless on why some of these parts are needed but I did notice on the Core 4x4 one is says it's for lifts from 0-4". Some things I get that you need with greater lift so you can center the axle under the truck again but why would someone need either of these two if they did in fact have no lift on the truck?

That question aside, my vote is for steer smarts, seems to have a better clearance bend if you ever need that sort of geometry. ?‍♂

I have the steer smarts. I have not had to touch it for 20k miles. I did purchase the Randy's off road drag link, and the two did not play well together so went back to the stock drag link and kept the steer smarts track bar. It is a very well designed piece, just big
