Weird that they list everything as variations on the Wrangler. Wrangler Gladiator, Wrangler Scrambler. . .?

Jeep has its hands full without a new line. Major re style of JL to JM in 27-28 . Along with the JT. Got to get the Hurricane engine in them. Dana 50s in the rear, quiet the cabs, Just make them better.

It's likely going to be a unibody truck with reduced towing capacity when compared to the JT - almost all wrangler underneath. Although, it could use new Dakota style suspension components including IFS, allowing Jeep to gauge acceptance of IFS across the line. For the dreamers, a full size Jeep Truck would be great... but it's just a dream... and not this. BUT... and while we are wildly speculating... Gladiator could be replaced with a full size Gladiator(rebadged Ram) in the years. ahead with the new Scrambler filling the current JT spot.

Why less? the GX550 has a tow of about 9000.

I say a front wheel drive unibody Maverick competitor.

I'm not speculating lol, I've been waiting for two years for this thing to launch, it and it's platform mate are a huge deal for my company.

Certainly- the Dakota and Rampage fill gaping holes in the lineup. Cross utilizing either/both makes sense from both economic and engineering angles. I really think the Rampage will sell well here and take a chunk out of the Maverick sales as it should. I saw one in Costa Rica in February and it is a fine looking truck in person.

Dakota ought to sell well, especially if they offer proper fleet-spec trims at reasonable pricing.

I guess the bigger question is which of the two will the "Wrangler Scrambler" be built on? ( And will it have a Hemi? lol)

On Thursday, during the Stellantis turnaround presentation head of the American brands, Tim Kuniskis, showed us who’s holding the keys to the kingdom. Spoiler: it’s him. And he’s about to give everyone a Jeep Wrangler Scrambler SRT. I saw it. No photos allowed.

Here’s what I can tell you.

The Scrambler is a two-door Gladiator-based pickup truck. There are four seats and the doors will be slightly longer to enable easier access to those rear seats. There’s also a side step so you can just hop on in to those rear seats.

I say hop on in, because like the K5 Chevrolet Blazer, the hardtop is going to be removable on the rear end. The front hard top panels? They are “freedom panels” from the Wrangler and they pop off with a few twists of some latches. Even wilder is the fact that the second row of seats will be able to be (somehow, it’s unclear at the exact moment) turned around. So those seated in the rear can be facing backwards with the roof off, jump seat style.



The front end has a shark nose design and the top edge of the hood cants forward. The headlights are squarish. The front end was somewhat of a mashup between the Convoy concept from the 2025 Easter Jeep Safari and the Wrangler Anvil 715 Concept from this year’s Easter Jeep Safari, right down to the mail-slot intake on the hood.

The front will have an independent suspension. I was told by Thomas Sacoman, senior vice president of product planning, that the rear will mirror that setup, but Kuniskis later walked that back, saying Jeep is “trying” to get IRS in there. So what will be underneath the Scrambler when it hits production is unclear at this point. The car I saw today was a 3D-printed buck. If Stellantis pulls off this grandiose plan, the Scrambler would be here by 2030.

Clearly based on the Gladiator, the Scrambler will be an SRT product. For now, it’s unclear what’s under the hood, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see a 392 cubic-inch 6.4-liter Hemi V8, as Kuniskis confirmed the Gladiator is getting the Wrangler’s 392.

Well shit. Guess I'll be trading the money pit. If the JT 392 is as much fun as the Moab Wrangler 392 I drove earlier this year... Maximum hoonage.

But also-this might just make AMW swaps doable for the CARB folks?

But it’ll have a Rubicon hood!

It never is. Scrambler will probably based on the Rampage, and we can all look forward to more colors, and stickers.
