I always figured if you worked on enough of anything, you could gather up all the left over parts after a few years and build your own of whatever it was you worked on all of those years.
Some day I'll build another car.
I kinda figure if any of us could do that, you'd have the experience after all the stuff you've worked on over the years. ?
One piece at a time...

Strip it if you want, but I wouldn't even if deleting the ESS system.
Yes, removing the IBS kills the ESS because ESS relies on it, but the IBS is part of the smart charging system.
Another dumb question….will leaving the IBS throw any codes or dummy lights then? I would have left it connected anyways because I didn’t see that as being removed on the nice diagram he made. This is why I like to ask a lot of questions sometimes.

Questions are good.
Not asking questions can be not so good.

Leaving the IBS in place would have no ill effect.

As I typed my other message, I had that song and visions of that car in mind.
My father having been a UAW member for years while he was alive and the stories he told, and then going to Kenosha now and then and seeing all of the brand new AMC parts from the 70s and 80s for sale at the swap meet and garage sales in that town - LOL.......

I added the longer Mopar LCAs with the 2" AEV spacer lift and the alignment showed it was high out-of spec. Caster was at 6.4. The specs were supposed to be between 3.4 and 5.9...somewhere around there. So I took them out and put the stock LCAs back in. Didn't notice any ride quality issues with either one.
5.9 and 6.4 isn’t that much of a difference. My caster is 6.2 and feels great with my Clayton 2.5” lift.

Haha. I felt the same way for a long time, but it wasn't really that bad. The speaker replacement was actually much less painful on my fingers than replacing the jumper harness for the bed outlet.

Just lots of screws to take the dash apart. I did have a screw and clip left over.

I have no idea where they belong. Strangely, now I have the death wobble, steering pulls to the right, engine makes ticking sound, fuel economy is worse, auto start/stop won't work, etc. Haha!
The blue clip goes to the RH air bag panel... and I bet the screw goes in the lower bottom left head lamp panel..

It also looks similar to the screw that holds on the panel in the center of the dash, below the radio.

Installed a BOLT hood lock that works with my OEM key. Small mod that gives me a little more peace of mind. Kudos to BOLT for the ingenuity. Super easy install.

Harbor Freight brand hand riveter worked great for the 1/4" rivets.

Is that a custom screen behind the grill? Looks awesome.

Installed Line-Xd White Knuckle Offroad rock sliders this weekend and did not have the easiest time doing so. I am not a rock crawler, but just a sandy trail roller here/up in northern lower peninsula Michigan. For the mere 3 months having this ordered vehicle… I sure missed having side steps for getting in and out.
