Borla Touring Crawler exhaust. I know exhaust isn’t the most common or favorite of mods, but I like the sleeker look. Also definitely much lighter. This is a very tame muffler, though, sound is negligible, but that’s what I wanted. A bit deeper under WOT, but zero drone and very quiet at cruising speed.

Quake smoke fender chop. I decided to keep the inner fender liner and trim it and tuck it over the light housing. Fabed up a little piece from the cut off fender as a closure piece. Wanted the whole set up to look as factory as possible (not a fan of the hacked up fender look … but that’s just me). At first I didn’t want the smoke lens (they were OOS of the standard kit) because I typically don’t like dark lens but thought I’d give it a try. I think it looks pretty clean with the factory black fenders.

Clean! I did something similar though I'm using American adventure lab fender chop, definitely cleaner then the way I did it. Good job :like:

Technically not a gladiator and technically not mine. But I installed a Warn Zeon 10S with Warn winch plate for a friends JLU Rubicon. Would be the exact same procedure for a JT with the same set up.

Impressive! As a woodworker myself, that seems like a big pain in the ass, but you've inspired me, I might have to steal your idea, HAHA!!

Finally installed my Banks Derringer. The one plug on the engine was giving me issues. Had to use 2 screwdrivers on it. One prying on the red locking tab, and the other prying on the plug it's self. Already had my Pedal Monster installed along with the iDash gauge. It's set to Sport 4. The wifey likes it there too. Before the Derringer. I could smoke the tires taking off. Set the Derringer to Level 6 and I can light them up. LOL I set it back to the stock level for the wifey. She doesn't need that much power. She already has a heavy foot.

Someone help me, a non-car-guy, understand why you would wire the winch to a solenoid? I installed a Warn winch and wired it straight to the battery. Did I miss something?

Looking for gladiator
You now have hot leads at your bumper, which are a fire risk in case of even a minor collision. A solenoid lets you keep the winch without power, until you actually need the winch. Many of us wire the solenoid to our Aux switches, so it’s trivial to send power to the winch even from inside the cab (in case your buddy or spotter is running the cable out for you)

A solenoid lets you kill the power there. Instead of having power all the way down to the winch when it's not needed. It's a safety thing. If you are in a front end crash. The solenoid with not let power to the winch and cause a fire. There is a chance the the power cable could get cut.
