Three nuts to take the assembly out from behind the bed. DEF and breather lines have a push lock, just squeeze and they come off. Worm clamp on the diesel neck.

The top of the fillers just have a rubber skirt around them, just pull it out of that, it'll be fine. No need to mess with taking the surround out or anything.

As for the filler neck itself, took a bit of doing to figure it out. I put with the whole assembly upright in a vice and I tapped a flathead screwdriver down into the slot that the tabs insert into, from the outside of the metal tube. Then pried down to force the insert in and up, if that makes sense.

It deformed the metal on the outside of the tube slightly but it doesn't matter, the tabs grab on the opposite side of the slots.

Then the flapper itself pops out really easy with a flathead, 3 tabs. Tap it back together.

Well picked up my 23 JTR Tuesday at Gupton, so far did:

de-badged except tailgate stupid placement holes so I painted the grey part black

installed my overland bound badges in place of the trail rated badge and antenna mount due to the pressing in the fenders

installed seat jackers. I love them.

then for the grand finally I pulled out the entire dash got the air bag removed went to install it in my leather dash………and it’s a RHD passenger panel I had never really looked at it the drivers side is the correct LHD but passenger side in incorrect so I put it all back together

Picked it up this morning and this afternoon added all the quick and simple shit

Continuing to get ready for Minnesota winter. I hate the thought I'm going to be driving my new truck in the salt, but I really want to retire the TJ and finish "restoring" it before it turns to dust. And the SRT10 surely isn't going to be doing winter duties.

3M 08852 Cavity Wax for inside the frame and CRC 06026 Rust Inhibitor on the frame/chassis.

You can see the bronze tint the CRC coating has. To be honest I don't mind it.
