Sigh,
so I need to pull the trigger and it will be an Alu Cab, but will it be the Contour €3390 or the Explorer Expedition €3090? (not about the cost difference, but rather utility as I can't spot a difference other that some options are not yet available on the contour and if someone wants to talk styling go for it)
@darkhorse13 happy to hear your thoughts

Much appreciated

Kind regards

Sorry I don't have any experience with the Explorer but I think the Contour now has double seals on the windows? From an accessory standpoint I believe they both fit the all the same tables/cupboards/ammo rack/etc. The Contour will be the latest styling to match the 3R RTT and IMO is looks more sleek than the Explorer. I think the biggest thing you might want to ask yourself is if you want windows vs solid doors on the Contour? The solid doors give you exterior mounting options. Something to consider.

The biggest difference for me is the positive pressure vent to keep dirt/dust out. Also, I believe they advertise the contour as being stiffer. Not sure if that matters.

TBH I love the window look, but I am good at smashing tree branches and mounting stuff is nice. Double seals are amazing

Would love the cover also :) Rather pry that open and break it than not be able to get in (snow and ice)

I thouhgt that was only the RSI and not the Alu Cab?

For those that are interested, I found this pdf from Alu Cab.

Basing my thoughts on this. Can't upload the pdf, too large :)

I like the positive pressure vent. But I still have a 1/2” gap between the top of the tailgate and weather striping on the bottom of the door. I do not think the vent can overcome that big of a gap, can it? Has anyone more added weather striping here?

I have maybe a 1/4" space on the outside bottom piece of the door. There should be another weather sealing flap on the inside of the door that rests against the tailgate.

I will have to look at more closely in the next few days and figure something out.

In my canopy is this rubber strip for seal.

Thanks for the picture. I have that vertical seal flap but it does not touch the tailgate, I guess the top is too far forward. I picked up some different seal materials at Lowe’s last night to try.

Love it. Can you talk about the power unit in the back? What’s all connected and how is power drawn?
It's a 12v power control box. Has a fuse box, 12v cig outlets, usb's, and 5 switches for lights or whatever, plus couple of anderson connections. It's connected to my lifepo4 which is connected to an mppt charger and solar panel on my rtt. It's also connected to a victron ac-dc charger that's connected to the bed power outlet and charges when the engine is on. This way I can switch off the victron from the cab if I wanted to. Makes it easy to control the interior light, charge peripherals from the back, run the diesel heater and the Joolca. Gonna mount the road chef oven this weekend and give it a spin. The kids will be happy with their frozen pizza and chicken nuggets at camp.

Might sound like the weakest question to come out of that thorough explanation but, did you jeep come with the bed outlet installed Or did you do it after you received it?
