I love them! I get two winters out of them since I swap the blades out in the spring.
I need to look that up and learn more.

I'm just starting but I don't have a long list. I'm going by the amperage rating so far.

#3: Diode Dynamics SS3 Pro driving lights
#4: Diode Dynamics cowl lights

I might add reverse lights or rock lights but that will be much later, if ever. No plans for a winch or air compressor.

#1 - nothing
#2 - 12v outlet and USB charging outlets in truck bed
#3 - winch solenoid
#4 - Oracle backup lights in the rear bumper (wired to work in reverse or with aux switch)

Don't really "need" the bed outlet and USB charging on a switch but since it's available, it's nice to not have power back there all the time.

I just don't have a lot of electric stuff or even the true NEED for much more.
If I had a compressor, I'd likely use a switch for that but no immediate plans - this is Iowa, no sand, no rocks.

A very clean installation! Where do you source your crimp connectors? I used standard crimp connections with a cheap crimp tool. I'd like to redo the harness with waterproof crimp connections and a better crimp tool. Any recommendations?

I find a pliers style crimper to be pretty good. Any marine grade waterproof connector is probably better quality than the cheap insulated ones. Have a heat gun handy as well.

My aux switches have the GMRS radio, side lights, and rear ditch lights. The rear lights are on the corners aiming down a bit so I can see the edge in the mirror when backing along a shelf. And they help when connecting the trailer at night or backing into a camp site. The side lights are useful for reading camp site number posts at night. For these I am using 9W "rock lights", which are small ovals which I mounted with sticky Velcro to try them out.

Digikey and/or Mouser for connectors. The tools - I have 4 because I've not found one that does everything I need- those came from Amazon.
I use a marine type heat shrink as it has an adhesive that melts and seals the tubing.
I do restorations for classic cars and my OCD says I have to try to match factory type connections.

This is excellent for the connector type just above -

I've got 3 others as well, and then of course the plier type cheaper versions for the closed type.
The connectors I've used are mostly open barrel types. The typical connector from a parts store is a closed connector you simply pinch or squeeze it closed but it's not as tight and the pressure isn't as high all the way around.

Hmmm, that makes me think of some things I could add. Backing into places at night, reading small signs at night - nice.

Just cowl lights on no. 4 right now and a cb radio on the constant hot.

I kind of want to add more stuff but everything has been on it’s own circuit for now (winch, compressor and the factory connectors were used for the fogs).
