The trims available are WT, LT, Trail Boss, Z71, and ZR2, with the Trail Boss trim (formerly an add-on package) new this year. All trims are available in four-wheel drive, but if you want to cut costs and complexity, the WT and LT can be had in two-wheel drive.
Also gone are the 2.5-liter four-cylinder (200 hp/191 lb-ft of torque), 3.6-liter V-6 (308 hp/275 lb-ft of torque), and diesel 2.8-liter Duramax four-cylinder (181 hp/369 lb-ft of torque) engine options, all replaced in 2023 by a turbocharged 2.7-liter inline-four gasser offering three power outputs, mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. Those outputs and their delineations are: Turbo (237 hp/259 lb-ft of torque), Turbo Plus (310 hp/390 lb-ft of torque), and Turbo High-Output (310 hp/430 lb-ft of torque)"".

How easily can the doors and top be removed and then put back on?

Loved my Chevy Colorado ZR2 Bison diesel until it started getting error codes from the fuel system…. That scared the carp out of me and I traded it in for my wife’s car….

I thought that I would have it until the wheels fell off…

Waited 5 months without a truck… Funny, never been a truck guy, but got spoiled with the versatility of having a truck…. Had the new one been out, I would have gone that route but with a gas engine….

I even placed a deposit for a GMC Sierra AT4, V8 gas engine…. But after driving my brother’s full size truck for two weeks, while visiting him, I quickly realized that I do not like a full size truck…. It is not for me. So I canceled the order.

I am happy with my Gladiator…always wanted a Jeep…. But I have to say, had the new GMC Canyon AT4X or the Chevy Colorado ZR2 been out… I probably would driving one of those now…

But now that I have my Mojave…I hope that I can keep it for a long, long time…

It’s got 4 wheels & a short bed. Seems the comparison pretty much ends there? Too bad Jeep does not have a big-liter turbo 4. Hope the 3.0L fits-

It is a very nice looking truck...I like the idea of the Desert model which they say is top of their line starting at 50K$. Certainly a model we should compare to Jeep's equivalent the Mojave...I paid in the high 60$K last year fully loaded with leather - the light colored one which is almost impossible to get in the mid size class (I looked at a lot of other manufacturers because I don't do black interior)....I am sure the Colorado D.M. fully loaded would come up or very close to the price I paid. I would also think the interiors on our Gladiators are just a step above anything else in the mid-size as far as quality and looks. All the trucks I considered last year in midsize mostly had a cheap uninspiring overly chintzy appearance.

As far as the outside look, both options look great to me each satisfying in different ways. MO/Gladiators have a very district and unique look, the Colorado a more traditional/group-think look. Totally a matter of what one prefers.

That leave performance off road...I am overwhelmingly happy with my MO performance off-road, I would suspect the Colorado D.M. can not do as well. Just my opinion, would love to hear other opinions on this point.

(On road, I would guess the Col. might have a bit less wind noise as a highway cruiser, but for me, in this genera, not a key determinate in the decision).

One PS: Their D.M. has a little bit more HP than the MO, but then again, I have a Sunrider Flip-TOP, or just about any top I want which is a much more fun experience than just a standard sun roof. Besides, I have yet to encountered even one incident both on and naturally especially off road where I hit the gas peddle hard and said, "gee, if only I had more HP".

Overall, IF there was no Mojave, I would be reasonably happy with the Colorado D.M. as long as I could get light colored seats in it. ?

Wow I wanted to see if this had some real information but its only a Chevy commercial.
There is not a Chevy made that is mostly stock that can follow me on the trails and go where I go.
I use my Jeep Gladiator as my Daily driver and to get to places that most can not get to for Fishing; biking; or just a family outing to watch the sun set without a ton of people around.
Its sad that we are seeing so much "fake news" is showing up in these forms and I am starting to think that there are a handful of Trolls in here that have never owned a Jeep but are paid to bash the Jeep product.
