Necessary to disconnect the main battery when removing the aux battery?

Message on starting, sometimes, "Accessory Switches Disabled, Battery Charging."

Primary battery load tested good!

Been following the advice posted here, thanks!

Today picked up a new Aux Battery and panel tools.

Gonna go through the fender.

Here's the question!

MUST I DISCONNECT THE MAINT BATTERY IF I AM CAREFUL REMOVING THE AUX?

I would any way. That way you can charge the main fully and do the ibs reset. It is too easy to just disconnect it.

It is a battery sensor that sits on the main battery negative post. I wouldn't want to tell you wrong so I would recommend the description shadowspapa has posted on it .​

If you don't have a multimeter, get one. I highly recommend the cheap Fluke, but anything will work. Harbor Freight type have horrible leads that break and can give you faulty/inaccurate reading.

You don't have to, but you really should. The two batteries are paralleled together, so the Aux positive cable will be hot if the Main is connected. That hitting anything will blow one of the high capacity fuses behind the N1-N6 terminals, which is about a $200 repair.
