Yeah the symptom was different in the front, was getting Stiction on start from dead stop after breaking. At first thought it was transmission haha…

Unfortunately, if it doesn’t produce a leak that drips on the floor, it’s good enough and hasn’t failed. Just went through that with the dealership with my fox shocks on the 21 JTR at about 48k+ kms.
Same goes for your front axel U joints throwing grease, …FCA approved.

Forget ‘em, look for better upgrades.

Thanks for the input , yeah it did leak onto the mounting bolt so one could argue it dropped below as well.., I’ll wait for the 10,000 mile oil change and see. I cleaned it today to see what happens between now and then.

Makes me wonder if that 'dripping on driveway' comment that seems so common is a factory 'spec' to determine if something is warrantieable. Kinda garbage IMO because a leak is a leak - and its quite different and easy to discern compared to seepage.

I got asked the same question about my transfer case leak - "is it dripping on your driveway". Well my driveway is grass so.....who knows. But it's clearly leaking on the transfer. They just shrugged.

This stinks. Considering these shocks are one of the major ‘fancy’ features of the Mojave the level of service should be premium.
If you call Fox support and ask what they say about the leakage they could say normal all good or say send in for rebuild…. Would be interesting and may open conversation with a dealership for proper service.

I have a 2020 JTR that I just bought used. 26k miles.. It has a serious right to left bounce. So much so that you almost get motion sickness driving it on the highway. I didn't check if mine were leaking but after the dealer test drove they confirm there is an issue. Unfortunately, These Fox shocks are on a national backorder, front's will be available end of March 2023, and rears sometime in June or July 2023... Really makes me wonder if the shortage is due to normal supply chain issues or high demand for replacements??. Either way, I saw a video that Shocksurplus.com did on these, comparing them to the Falcon Teraflex. .. Despite them being a distrubutor for several brand shocks, The take away was pretty much them showing how inferior Fox has become recently with nylon plungers etc, plus saying 20-25k miles is about the average lifespan before Fox 2.0's start needing a rebuild.. Lucky for me My dealer just found me another set of Fox 2.0's somewhere & is installing them on Monday. I'm really hoping this cures the problem. If I ever need shocks after warranty expires I'll be looking at the Falcon SP's for sure!

This thread is a good reminder to get underneath and check your shocks, axle seals and transmission for leaks.

I usually inspect about once a month. :)

Yeah was reading today about weepage vs leakage… maybe mine only weeped but considering some dropped on the lower mounting bolt I’m not so sure. The bounce test is still ok on the shock. I cleaned it and will monitor between oil changes.

To me it looks like a leak and should be replaced. Your symptoms and a visual inspection should be sufficient for dealer to replace.
