I just spoke with my dealer. Custom order manager says he got an email a few days ago about delays on Manual Transmission builds. They're trying to find a solution to that Clutch Plate recall before they proceed with new builds. I know this isn't anything new for us, but that's the most new info he could get at this time. Seems like those codes we've been getting don't mean much.
Hmmm if this goes on much longer I'm going to have to inquire about cancelling my order and waiting to see what the 2024s bring. Thanks for the update. I'll give it a few days and call my dealer to see if they have any information and I'll relay it back so we aren't calling the same poor soul every few days.

I don’t know how accurate this is and my order still doesn’t have a build sheet yet but according to the data in jeeptracker.com there are 2 manual trucks in production in the last 7 days (one of which is in the last 3 days). For months this has showed zero and I have been checking at least once a week since the production halt.
maybe manual trucks are back in production.

I don't care how accurate it is, it's a bit of potentially positive news that i didn't have access to and I'm happy to hear it.

Yea if it’s true it’s the first sign of a solution being implemented.

Jeeptracker.com isn't loading for me today. You having the same issue? If not, any new 6MTs in E status?

Hey everyone,

I know this is still just speculation and that we have gotten different answers depending on who we contact, but thought I would share anyway.

I spent the morning on the phone with my local dealer and the FCA Recall Assistance Center. I was told by FCA that parts will not be available until September 5, 2023.
After some back and forth with my local dealer, my service advisor agreed to install an aftermarket clutch but that I would be responsible for the ~$1500 in labor plus the cost of parts. The guy I spoke with at the FCA recall center stated that I would be reimbursed for installing an aftermarket clutch, as long as the service was completed by a certified Jeep dealership and as long as I provide proof of payment.
Again, I know this contradicts what others have been told by @JeepCares, but knowing there will not be parts available until September has me seriously considering an aftermarket clutch. My understanding from the recall letter is that warning signs (smelling clutch, clutch slippage, warning lights) may or may not occur prior to catastrophic failure.

I hope this helps some of you who are debating the same thing and holding out for Jeep to make this right. Unfortunately, it does not appear that we will have a remedy or parts available in Q2 as we had originally expected.

I know that I cannot be without a vehicle until September. That being said, I would love to hear your thoughts on whether to keep driving it as-is for the next 4 months, or whether to take the chance on reimbursement for an ACT/CF upgrade.

Stay safe out there.

Not working at the moment. It was working earlier today and no new ones at that time.

Just placed an order for the JP6 kit from ACT. Doing the install myself, will report back with install and driving experience.
Where did you order from? It looks like they are currently out of stock on the ACT website. @ACTman, any timeline of when you will have these kits back in stock? After watching your video series, this seems like the best option out there.

I ordered from SummitRacing. I think the kits are just waiting on the alignment tool, and I was told they should have more in stock soon.

I just checked and we are currently waiting on more clutch alignment tools which are expected Monday. Everything else is on the shelf.
edit: You beat me to it Kevin! Haha.
