Some 2024 trims may not be getting the new grill

The 2024 Wranglers went live on Jeeps Website. It looks like the Sport and Sport S won't be getting the new grills. Maybe the same will be true for the 2024 Gladiator.

Really interesting that Earl is available on the Wranglers for '24 and not listed as a limited edition color.

They look all the same to me. What am I missing?

Never mind. I didn't click on 2024.

What doesn't make sense about the new grill is that I if I remember correctly, the Gladiator needed a separately designed grill w/larger slots to help keep the engine cool when fully loaded and/or towing.

In fact they made a big deal about it when first introduced in 2019.

So now what do they do? Toss a glorified Renegade grill on the '24 models with smaller slots????

That's what I thought too. I'm interested because I want to keep the diesel cooler

Wow, on Sport S if you choose automatic transmission, you get the 4 cylinder turbo. Some trim packages the 4 cylinder is all you get.

The new grill does have mesh between the slots, but the slots appear to be considerably shorter than on the current design to me.

They do look that way. I would imagine that's still considerably more surface area, though.

I like the clean look of the outgoing grill but I don't totally hate the new one. I could see maybe considering a grill swap to help out the diesel as @TwelveSoldier said above. I wonder how weird it would look with the mesh between the slots painted body color.

Probably really weird.
