My dealership knows (because I visit them each week) how late (15 weeks and counting) that my JTD order hasn't been even started yet (accepted March 31).

Was talking to them last night, and they offered me this at what I think is a really good price (MUCH lower than what is stated on their website):

https://www.shottenkirkcdjrgranbury...high-altitude-4x4-crew-cab-1c6hjtfg7pl553301/

Anyway, I'm SERIOUSLY thinking about taking their offer, but, I have a few reservations.
1) Not a diesel, has the tow package, but not sure how High Altitudes are for towing.
2) Doesn't have the Trail Management system with 115v 400w outlet in the bed or lockable storage under the seat.
3) Doesn't have the Auxillary switches like I ordered on my JTD.
4) Has Rock rails which I'll have to replace (I'm vertically challenged).

I can add most of the stuff (not sure about the Aux switches), but my main concern is how well the High Altitude tows.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.
I have a 2023 Freedom model with tow package and 3:73 gears (narrow axles) and towed my 24 foot Yamaha boat on tandem axle trailer with surge brakes to our lake 75 miles. I also installed 35” Goodyear wrangler territory tires on AEV saltra wheels and was quite impressed with how well it towed. I’m not say I would want to tow thru the mountains or run at 80 mph, but at 65 mph I was running in 7th gear no problem. I was quite nervous with the bigger tires how it would do, and tracked trans temp and oil temp the whole way with no real issues.

There are aftermarket options for the AUX switches.

I have the OEM AUX switches and wish I had saved that money. I ended up installing an 8 gang set up from AUXBeam and its way better. Its solid state, can make configuration changes from your phone with the app, its loaded with features. I would not let this option steer you out of a pretty sweet deal.

Here is the link: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09MRT5QHP/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

And its 25% off right now, $240 is a killer value and more features then the OEM AUX switches

Just my 2 cents, hope it helps...........because making a truck payment on something you can't drive is bananas........especially for almost 4 months now.
Yep better options out there now for aux switchs than what the JT has. I had the dealership add them on mine as part of the sale but they are in a bad position after using them for the last few years.

I agree with what some have advised already. Go for the deal with the aux switches thrown in to sweeten the deal. Trail rails and such can be added later quite easily. Nobody knows what direction the unbuilt Diesels will go. I think Gladiator pricing at the moment is as good as it will be for some time.

You don’t have to worry about this decision. I gave them a call. We are going to get it for the wife. Problem solved. ????

Bear In mind that when you order a truck . Then Chrysler Fiat only will make that truck when others like it come in on order.
I ordered a Ram very early that the air ride and it was over 3 months before a run of those was put into the line up. But it did come in. I just kept driving the one I had till it came in.

If towing is an important issue to you I would suggest getting a truck with the 4:10 axles.

It’s hard for your internet friends to know what kind of deal it is without knowing the price offered…just sayin’.

Price offered is $49,900. I'm going to be pulling a ~2,000 lbs car trailer with ~3,500 to ~4000 lbs classic cars. Not all of the time, but often enough. With the specs that USMC_1Wire633 posted above, it looks like the JT Diesel gives me a ~500 to ~1,000 lbs. towing margin, where as the High Altitude is right at the max. Hmmm.

My guess is the dealer had some take off's from a Ruby that was upgraded to after market bumper and rails, so they thought hey we can throw these on this HA and get a higher price....
Rear bumper only has one hook, and it’s black. Definitely didn’t come from a Rubicon. I wouldn’t buy it without color matched bumpers, but that’s just me.

I really like my Gladiator, but if I had to tow 6000 lbs pretty often I'd be looking at a used fullsize, and a TJ for Jeep stuff

I don't really like the full size trucks. Mainly because my wife can't drive them. Just too stinkin' big.

Tom that doesn’t sound like a great deal to me. Do you realize that Jeep is offering a $3000 rebate now on any Gladiators?

With the glut of inventory Jeep has I would push for a more aggressive discount than that. Just my $0.02…
