LX3 swap and done. The GM LTx motor have a smaller foot print in the engine bay....better for cooling and serviceability.

With a small cam 575hp and 602ftlbs
I agree if it wasn't 40k for the engine and tranny before wontons to handle the juice.

I'd love a bruiser conversion, would be my top choice but the cash outlay is rough.

Love OHV V8s. I remember the first time I saw the DOHC 4.6L Cobra engine in 1996. "This is larger than a big block V8". I miss the simplicity and smaller package. That's not what she said.

Quite an expensive fix if it breaks after jumping dunes or rock crawling.
Don’t worry. It will come with a gorilla glass option that never breaks ;).

I assume it would have a removable interior panel on the back of the cab. More expensive to fix than fixed glass, sure. Like the tundra, it could be an optional feature. 4Runners have this too.

Is it just me or is anyone else concerned that this truck appears to be speeding away with no one at the wheel while its heading directly into either an embankment or a grove of trees? I just know my insurance rates are going to go through the roof whenever I eventually take ownership of a self driving car.

…and jeep doesn’t trust me to open my own truck door while parking just to visually scan for the painted lane divider without throwing the transmission into park. Just saying!

Pretty sure 4XE, new Grill, Power Seats, winch and 12inch screen will be on the refresh. What I am hoping is the full float rear axle and optional 4.88s are available to save me from spending that in a regear. Also hope they fix issues with Manual transmissions and they are still offered.

My understanding was the semi-float (or is it a full floater) axle on the JL was to bring up the towing capacity. The JT doesn’t have this limitation. It’s towing limitation is cooling. I suspect the JT won’t get the new axle but who knows.

I’m thinking grill and Uconnect, power seats and whatever other little bits the JL got and that’s about it. Maybe the 4xe, but unless it has a bigger battery it’s not going to be very compelling. Maybe the V8, but the price will probably be shocking. Hell the 4xe price will probably be shocking (no pun intended).
I disagree on the axle, I think it would be more cost effective to just put the floating axle on the Wrangler and the Gladiator and on the lower trims exhaust the supply of the other axles then make standard across the board. I think no matter how great the new Jeep is the real issue is the pending UAW talks and potential strike. IF UAW gets their way all cars will cost even more.

I’m curious what’s going to happen with the workers strike. They are going to release the 2024 gladiator and then potentially have a strike 24 hours later.
Ha, great mind think alike!
