I've not read though the full thread. But I will drop my .02 on this, the JT is making Jeep money hands over fist. Right now Mopar doesn't have a same class truck that's being in competition JT. The Dodge Dakota was the nail in coffin for the MJ "Comanche" being considered a direct competitor that was in 1991. Mopar didn't want to take sales from it. Then again every corp. who's took over the AMC,Jeep lines has deliberately ran a razor across their own throat at least once if not multiple times.

What dealer is that? I need to get my order in ASAP. They will offer it with a manual transmission right?
Not sure where the dealership is, but I’d be willing to bet the sales staff pretty much look like this guy. . . ?

I wouldn't count on it. With the current glut of Gladiators, no values will be heading up. And generally, when a model is discontinued the prices dive even more.

Last week I was offered 49K for my mint Mojave with 7,500 miles that I paid 55K (60K MSRP) just 13 months ago. The dealer stated that the reason being the lack of buyers and overflowing stock on lots. Most JT's are being discounted by 3k by the dealers and Jeep incentives at 3K, they will be competing with the price of new when reselling mine on the used market.

With other offers around 45K, I jumped at the 49K offer. Unfortunately, this did not include the 4K in mods I had into it either.

Over the years the one formula that has pretty much stayed the same, the higher the vehicle price, the greater the decline in trade value. ?‍♂
Most change in values is due to the fact that covid and the supply chain issues over-valued too many vehicles. They are in a correction phase now. Nothing to do with Jeep or Gladiator. Supply and demand - there was no supply, and all sorts of vehicles skyrocketed in price.
It's like the stock market, with houses, real estate, and cars/trucks, there's often a correct phase.

I wouldn't say there's a glut - try finding certain Gladiators around here. There's not much to choose from.

(Tesla is over-stocked as well.)

Until they find a battery that doesn't lose 1/2-1/3rd of its range when it's cold out,
Gee, my wife gets about the same range on her 4xe regardless of outside temperatures.
She got 26 miles on electric before hybrid mode on a 20 degree day and 22 miles on pure electric the other day when it was 70 out.
We've not seen a drastic change. Most 4xe people see some change, but I've not seen complaints about 1/3-1/2 range loss, at least not common.

Watch for sodium ion or other batteries in the near future.

I think the dealer who told you that is full of it, having said that, I personally think the gladiators time is limited. When? Not sure.

It doesn’t matter how much $ they make if they would make more money using that production line for something else, like 4xe wranglers.

Gotta buy one now
They’re hard to get
That one on the lot
The only one. That’s it!

Special order only
But we just happen to have one
We took a look at your FICO score
Sir, today ONLY, we can get you done!

12 percent interest
That’s not very high
It means you understand value
Did I mention you look good in this ride

Now we can’t come down on the price
Markets adjustments and all
The finance manager says you’re lucky to buy anything
According to the credit report he saw

I've got to make a living.
I’ve got kids to feed
It’s supply chains and inflation
It has nothing to do with greed

Look some men
They just can’t handle this truck
It’s takes a take charge guy, a decider
And a little bit of luck

You go ahead and think about it
Get permission from the wife
They’ll all be sold out tomorrow
But hey it’s your life.

What's that you say?
There's a 24'?
Haven't heard that
Jeep tells us, they'll be no more.

Be careful what you read
The internet lies
You say It's from Jeeps own website
Well I can tell you the price will be high

You see, there's inflation
And the alignment of the moon
War with China
A recession coming soon

Yeah, I'm pretty sure this is it
The last affordable truck
Only 10k above sticker
A real stroke of luck

Think about this thing on the beach
Don't think about the price
You'll be the envy of all your friends
Just don't tell your wife

Electric off road vehicle, NO! I'm sure it's been said but there are no chargers out in the great outdoors which makes an electric Jeep a non starter for those that like to camp out in the great unknown.. Not sure if there is a solar option but how long would that take? Bottom line, when chargers start showing up in hard to reach destinations is it still nature? Might as well put a few pumps and a mini-mart out there too so I can get beer and ice. I'll stick to my ICE vehicles and bring a Jerry can with me if needed. Anything man made doesn't belong but EV chargers? I think they are an improvement for the environment but there are some instances where it's just not practical.

The 4xe is a plug in hybrid, not a full electric vehicle. It does not need a charged motor battery to run.

Jeep has Level 2 chargers in places you would not expect and are adding more. There are chargers at the Rubicon trail, there is a charger at Windrock Park. The Windrock charger was a phase 2 install.

I'm not going to be an adopter of a full BEV anytime soon but I would be interested in looking at a hybrid as my next Jeep.

Just take your charger with you.

That’s my uncle John. He’s actually a solid guy these days. Had a real bad drinking problem. Ended up in the county clink on work release for beating his old lady. When he got out, he caught her w his brother, my other uncle, rick … blue lights and uncle J back in the clink. Skipped out on his court date and got caught passed out near the train tracks couple weeks after. Served two years. While he was in there he read some book about Johnny Cash getting sober. Got out and started selling cars at the buy here pay here place. Eventually started his own. Calls himself Lou for some reason these days and still goes to the AA meetings where you can smoke inside.

he’s not as bad as he looks.
