What I find amazing is that so many people are upset they didn't get the "full float rear axle." My question is why? The Gladiator already tows more than the Wrangler with that axle. I have to assume the axle in the rear of the Gladiator is stronger than the full floater they are now putting in the Wrangler. After all, the towing capacity was increased by Jeep switching to the full floater in the Wrangler, but still less than the Gladiator. Seems they could have just used the Gladiator rear axle in the Wrangler for better towing. And yes, there is the advantage of not having a tire fall off if the axle shaft breaks with a full floater, but that's not happening for most people.

Bigger tires can be used much more reliably. Then you only need to worry about the front.

There are millions of Jeeps running 35's on stock axles and even with off-road use are rarely failing. If a person intends on running even larger tires than that, they probably are no longer using a Dana 44 are are likely moving up to a Dana 60, etc. anyway.

No one talking about 35s....

Take a poll here of people running 37+ and Dana 44s. You'll see an enormous amount.

I'm a little confused. If an axle halfshaft is breaking because of running really large tires, you need a bigger axle that can accomodate a thicker halfshaft with ore splines, not a full-float design. In my opinion, 37's should not be run on a Dana 44, and especially not if that vehicle is being used off-road. Larger than 37's on a D44? That's nuts.

That's gotta be a mistake or typo on their part, if not they're even dumber than I thought.
Not sure about that. The sheets appear to be looping Sport and Sport S together on packages. No selc trac option though (except for optional on Mojave).
Here's a screenshot of the Functional Packages on the Sport S via the ordering screen

Maybe it's just me, but this is the only vehicle community that I have ever been involved with that is so adamantly pissed when a REFRESH hits due to the fact that they aren't immediately having to sell their existing trucks just to get a new one.

How many of the people would be bitching about "oh, I just bought it! How about a refund or a credit!" if they really did blow everybody's mind with all the new crap they added?

You all must be the type that get a new iPhone and Apple Watch every year.

I'm relieved. I paid $49k for my '23 JTR, and I get AT LEAST another year of having the latest and greatest. Interest rates are at 8%. I cannot believe that there is such a high year over year trade in rate amongst the JeepGladiatorForum users. Stellantis must love you all.

Is it OK to want a 392 Gladiator? I want a legal one. It's impossible to have a legal one in California unless Jeep makes it.

Here is a video explanation of full float vs semi float:

Hey, I resemble that remark. ;)

You are right though. In my case, I love my Mojave. I would love a Mojave 4xe even more. And I may just find out if I will love a Wrangler 4xe as much. I am struggling now trying to decide if I will regret not having a pickup for weekend warrior duty.

It's like they don't WANT us to buy it so it gets discontinued. Just a few more standard options that I didn't want in the first place. I am pretty disappointed in the axle options also, considering what's available for the JL.... yeah, now I'm really happy I didn't wait to put my order in and just went with the '23.

I believe you can only order a 2024 now with the announcement today. If you can still order a 2023, I could see a rush on them to get the order in before the window closes for good.

I firmly believe today's debacle will accelerate the selling of the 2023's off of the dealer lots.

May be this was JEEPs plan all along, to motivate 2023 sales and clear the lots, then do a Mid year reveal for 2024 with new powerplant options. Marketing tricks to clear overstocked inventories of 23s.
