And while searching for a Wrangler fit for my wife, it's amazing the number of Jeeps on the lots in Florida, South Texas and your area of CA that have that cold weather package. I thought - really? That's a big seller in central Florida?

Anyway, no, this isn't like a BMW or Toyota where the features are merely a subscription. There's often hardware missing - like the heating elements and wiring for heated seats.
60f in CA is considered cold. We don't even goes outside at that temp ?

I bought Mopar kit after I bought the JT. 2020 Sport required new fobs, dealer re-programming and module swap behind the rear seat ( all included in kit). I tried to do all the manual work, but all hardware parts and software re-programing had to be done at the same time. So all I was able to do to help was remove panel behind the rear seat.

Fortunately Dealer only charged 185 for install and programming. I love it. Go for it!

Remote Start is part of cold weather package.
Unless you have a manual... My guess is the HW is there if you bought the Cold Weather Package like I did, but they'll never allow you to enable it on a manual transmission for legal purposes.

Maybe there is a way to do it in JScan/AlphaOBD?

You could use a relay of some kind to simulate the clutch pedal being depressed (required to start the 6MT) and MAKE SURE you have the gearbox in neutral...

I wonder if the "remote proximity locks required" thing is for the RF Hub and Antennas. A lot of trucks just have those now even without the option. They're just turned off.

So I guess the question is, can you simply get a remote start key, program it to the truck, turn on the antennas and remote start and biggity bam you have remote start for the cost of the key?

I think you might be on to something. If your Gladiator is equipped with the sirius guardian package, which if you pay for the service allows you to remote start your jeep from the app, I would think then the remote start module is already installed in the jeep even if you do not have a remote start button on your fob. Otherwise how would the remote start work? My Gladiator has sirius guardian capability (I don't pay for the service) and I don't have a remote start fob, but under the hood I do have the remote start hood sensor that comes with the package referenced in this thread. ALl a guess at this point but if someone knows the part number for the remote start module (not for the hole package) I could pull the module in my Gladiator and see if the numbers match. I have no clue where it is located though.

I have the full Guardian subscrition, no factory remote start option. No option to remote start from Uconnect or Jeep app. You can't *ever* get it there unless your VIN has factory remote start. You can only remote start from the app if your truck originally came with the option.

Unfortunately you are right about that. I kept getting emails from sirius to start a free guardian trial and they kept referencing the remote start. I called them and they indicated the remote start from the app wouldn't work because it was not an installed option. So it looks like you need the remote start kit from Mopar rather than just new key fobs.

I went with the Start-X kit. I would have preferred the factory starter, but my dealer wouldn't install in it since it isn't an option for my vin. The Start-X one workers pretty close to factory though.

Are you able to use the remote start feature in the app since you installed the Mopar kit?

Remote Start with the App uses the cellular connection in the head unit. It requires the appropriate head unit and remote start option to be factory installed. It is not an option that can be installed by the dealer.

I have a 22 Mojave with remote start..... I do not have the cold weather package or the bed inverter. Should just be a set of keys and maybe a JSCAN to turn the setting on?
