I agree with some stuff he says and some not. He's completely against EV's. They aren't for me either but I'm not going to beat them up as bad as he does. He's getting bad about click bait titles that have nothing to do with his content just to get views.

I have to admit, being new to the Jeep world, I did learn from video that the hood can be pushed all the way back rather than messing with the hood stick. Yeah...I feel pretty embarrassed.. Like a train wreck, I simply could not look away from that video and watched it all the way through.

If you lean the hood back, be aware - you may want to put a blanket or fender cover where the hood hits the top of the windshield area. And don't do it in windy conditions unless you love concussions.

Me, I opted for hood struts - release side latches, slide the front safety catch over, let hood rise on its own - and stay there. No prop rod. Not a fan of prop rods.

Scotty is right about the diesel engine. I owned an Alpha Romeo 33TD station wagon with a 3 cylinder turbo diesel engine. A friggin nightmare! It had a VM 1.8 liter turbo. I was replacing cylinder heads every 5000 km. Crappy design with cast iron jugs and aluminum heads. I totaled it after about 1 year of ownership and a lot of money to keep it on the road. Never again. And, to think that company is making the diesel motor in the Jeeps? I have the Pentastar motor and I am happy with that.
VM has made engines for many automobile companies, including Land Rover (many years ago) and more recently, the Chevy Colorado with the 2.8L "Duramax." I would say their more recent designs are pretty decent engines.

If his information was accurate I might be able to put up with the drivel......instead I feel like I have listened to another SHAMWOW commercial on TV

He keeps talking about the impressive Austrian transmission. But for a transmission actually built in Europe for the Gladiator you need the Italian engine...... LOL

The 8HP75 is built by ZF themselves in Germany and imported into the US, and is used behind all Hemi V8 engine applications, including the 5.7L, 6.4L/392, and the 6.2L Hellcat along with the 3.0 EcoDiesel in the Gladiator.....
Just a couple of corrections:
The 6.2L Supercharged Hemi's do not run the 8HP75 but rather a stronger version which is the ZF8HP95.

Also, you can buy a Wrangler 392 (not a Gladiator though) which would have the 8HP75.

Kilmer is a moron. I cannot for the life of me understand why so many people eagerly watch his channel. He's awful to listen to, awful to look at, flails around, and spews a lot of nonsense both about how great Toyotas are and how bad everything else is.

That would be my luck! Lean it back, then a wind gust would come up right when I put my head in there! ;P. I am going to search around for those hood struts. Sounds like a GREAT idea!

This guy doesn't know anything made it about 60 seconds before I had to shut the quack job down lol. I here all the hate on the ecodiesels but I'm 6 ecodiesel trucks in never replaced 1 motor over 500k mile combined. Not 1 major problem still have my 17 ram 1500 longhorn with 268k miles I bought with 132 miles on it still love it . ?
Is there anything different or new about the ecodiesels they put on new jeeps/rams? Seems like the newer ones have more trouble then older models. Could just be a coincidence in my circle of friends.

The latest 3.0 Ecodiesel also sees boat duty as well. The block design is actually pretty stout and they made the crank bearings lager in the Gen 3 motor.

Don't like Kilmer, don't like Ben Hardy, don't like any who think they are experts but say the stupidest things and have the lamest opinions. I've watched a lot of channels when shopping/researching vehicles I wanted to buy, hoping to get at least a glimpse of something important in each that wasn't said/shown somewhere else. Those two channels were totally worthless unless all I wanted was to see video of the vehicle itself (with the sound off). I always felt dumber after seeing their videos.

That's a guy I can't watch. I tried a couple videos when they popped up years ago. Now, when he comes across the feed, I cringe like Dracula to garlic.

My favorite guy (non-Jeep) to watch is Derek at Vice Grip Garage.
