Here are some links to the comparisons of tires.

37's

35's
Excellent spreadsheet. Interesting that the Nitto Recon Grappler A/T in a 35/11.5R17 is taller (34.5) yet weighs less than (61) the M/T option Wildpeaks (32.8/61.3) that came on my Mojave. I've been eyeballin' the Toyo 35", but now I'm interested in lookin' closer at the lighter Nitto Recons for my optioned 7.5x17" wheels.

Nice. Did you get the skinny version or wide? I'm leaning toward the 255/85R17 - essentially a 35x10"
315/70/17. I wanted a little narrower but for whatever reason, tires and their numbers confuse me so went with what I know. Those google docs above would have been extremely helpful. For the time being, my son is using one to roll down a small hill in our yard. lol

Thank you. Do you think the wheels are a bit small with 2.5 lift? I will be doing the same lift as you and I have a JTR with 35s too.
I have no plans to go bigger than the 35s but yes, to me they still look a little small with this lift. In my opinion they leave too much space in the wheel well. The only way I’d ever go up to 37s is if I found a great deal on the tires and as was mentioned earlier, if I ever go up to 37s, I will have to regear and would need wider wheels. My Gladiator is a do it all daily driver and work truck. I carry a lot of different things in the bed and tow either a 16’ flat bed or small travel trailer a few times every month. Most all the off roading I do is either on the 60 acres I live on or getting in to where I hunt. I would probably have been fine forever at stock height with 33” tires but I wanted more so I installed the lift. After the lift, I had planned to stay with the stock Wildpeaks ATs until they needed to be replaced but last week a great deal on 35” tires opened up on Walmart.com and I ended up with a set of 5 for $435. 37s would easily fit with this lift but I’m happy with the 35s even if they do look a little small.

My totally biased in experience short tire list

Good
Nitto Ridge Grappler
BFG KO2
General Grabber ATX

Bad
Cooper STT Pro
Anything made by a brand thats not sold at tire shops
Any MT when you don’t need a MT

Theres so many tires, just a couple I’ve had experience with. Also note, if you aren’t rotating tires at the first sign of wear (this should be ATLEAST every oil change, preferably 5k miles) then no matter what tire you get, theres a good chance its going to be cupped and terrible in no time

Hello!
We just ordered the Clayton 2.5" lift for our Rubi. We have the stock rim/tire (33's and Falkens). Want to upgrade to 35's of course due to the lift. Our normal tire store in Oregon (Schwab's) has a couple options, but honestly, I don't know what to choose. We offroad alot, mainly logging roads, forest service roads, etc... However we are starting to split our time between OR and AR. In AR, they have a river crossing about every other mile it seems.
So.... what to choose? Something that can handle Rain (Oregon), Gravel/Forest Roads (Everywhere), Snow (Oregon), and Rocky Paths with River Crossings (Arkansas).
Anyone had a similar design issue? Please, any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!
Vicky
35's will look like roller skates-- trust me, I made that mistake too. Same lift (taller than adver). Go with 37's (BFG TA/KO2s) are very quiet, light and eat up a lot of road noise that other tires don't and very capable offroad. They also make a "C " rating in a 37 x 12.50 x 17!

If you haven’t already, check Tirerack.com. They basically carry every tire made, great prices and they have recommendation installers in most areas they drop ship to. They’re owned by Discount Tire now but often have better prices by a few dollars. And btw, they’ll ship to Discount as well.

I am also trying to decide between 33's and 35's and cannot decide as if I go to 35's I will have to decide on a lift as I am a sport s with 373 gears. I also flat tow behind my class A so that is another thing to consider!
If anyone has any suggestions I am all ears!
Thanks!

I needed that spreadsheet in my life. Thank you to the gentleman scholar who created it.
