Over the weekend we installed the Evo High N Tight Rear Bumper to improve the departure angle. Also removed the rear bed protectors and modified the bed and fenders so it is just above the frame for additional clearance. Have a little detail work to do on the bed cut. The spare will be relocated to the bed giving me a lot more ground clearance. Exhaust will be cut back to the rear axle.

Finished the EcliK shock install. It’s truly amazing. It’s all but eliminated body roll. I hit a large speed bump at 30 in Baja mode and the tires never left the ground. It’s like having a Mojave (minus the reinforced frame and knuckles) that still rock crawls like a rubicon.

Can the ride be set to softer than stock. I’d like a smooth soft ride for in town.

Definitely. It’s really customizable. I’ve only scratched the surface, so need some more fiddling time to be able to provide a better answer. I’ll definitely keep you posted. I’ll be messing with them a lot in the next couple of days.

Howdy all,
For my diesel, I put the extension cables on my security gateway wireing for the bypass cable today.
Man, those connectors on the security gateway are hard to get to.
I did this so I can do a manual DPF regen (with the AlphaOBD app) even if I'm out on a trail and find my soot level is high and I can't get up to highway speeds anytime soon for a regen.

Bestop makes a nice cover.
Indeed. I looked high and wide, at Mopar, on Amazon, Quadratec, Extreme Terrain, etc. IMO, Bestop offered the best combination of quality, attractive looks, fit and finish, ease of use, ease of installation, for the money.

Like everyone else, I have run out of adjectives to describe the remote Jeep supplied for the JT. I tried a cover and it made it even worse by making it so bulky.

While the remote size wise is not too bad, the key deploying itself is aggravating. I finally had an idea to take a piece of shrink sleeve and shrink it over the key blade. I wound up cutting it down so it just covered a portion of the blade, but created enough friction that the key won't pop out. If you need to actually use the key, you can push the button and take a fingernail or some other pointed object to pop it up far enough for it to deploy. The shrink sleeve will slide right off the blade.

Now the remote is actually no larger than my Corvette fob, just a touch thicker...

Thickness matters.

It might be 1/8" thicker, but it's not noticeable in the pocket comparing the two...
I was messing with you. I don’t consider it’s size to be a problem either.

Gotcha, the key popping out is the most aggravating part....
Agreed. A friend bought me a cover that has solved it for me. It’s slightly bigger, but I love that it doesn’t pop out.

Had to install new tires for a road trip. Switched from 37x12.5r17 Trail Grapplers to same size Baja Boss A/T tires. Wanted to go A/Ts this time. Used one of my HF wheel jacks to help me remove and reinstall the wheel on the truck. Damn things are heavy! 140lbs heavy.
IMG_3802.jpeg
You had me at wheel jack. ?
I just went to 37s and Method Bead Grips. ...I didn't want the chance of a ticket or getting pulled over for beadlocks. I hear the tickets are hefty...

I didn't know this tool existed and am going to HF today!
When I did my front lift, thought I was going to get a hernia lifting those heavy SOBs up and align it.
I have to pull them back off to finish my fender liner install.

Thank you for the insight.
