Had my fuel pump recall done-- now having steering issues, any ideas what could have happened? Steering box has been upgraded and tire pressure is spot on, pulling to the right significantly...

FYI, we have a 2020 Gladiator, 3.6 gas, and at last tire rotation found odd, cupping, wear on front tires. Running OEM tires, and Dis. Tire recommended a front end check. Dealer immediately wanted to do an alignment. Found a local shop, alignment specialist, and they had a different diagnosis. His report is that Mopar has too much “ toe in”on Jeeps and Ram pickups. He sees a lot of Rams with worn out right front tires. He did a 4-wheel alignment and set the toe in to his spec. This Gladiator only has 37K miles and we bought it used with 28K about a year ago. Now the tires are wearing even. We never had any pulling , shimmy, or shake and it is rock steady and smooth. Hope this might help you.

Not on OEM tires-- brand or size, steering and ride were perfect before going into dealership to do recall, what could have they done to the tires...

Do you mind sharing what "his specs" were ?
I'm starting to get a slight feather on the outside tread of my front tires. I chalked it up to experimenting with my tire pressure... I think I ran them to low for too long.
The reason I ask about the specs: I'm getting ready to do a rotation, so I was probably going to get a roadforce balance as well. I figure if I have the wheels off, I might as well take a look at the toe.

Wow.... that's really strange.

I'm not sure what the procedure is to install/uninstall the pump, but you wouldn't think it would involve disturbing any suspension parts.

Many people have completed the recall, yours is the first time I have heard of this issue.

Make sure you keep us posted.

That's what too much toe-in does.

Mmmm... I believe it can be caused for atleast a couple reasons, tow and pressure both being one. In my case, the tires ran 6k miles before showing any feathering. It didn't happen until I started experimenting with the tire pressure. Seems if tow was the issue I would have seen abnormal wear from the beginning...

I plan on doing a roadforce balance and rotation... if tow is the issue, I guess it will rear it's ugly head in another 5-6k miles ?... or problem solved by correcting the tire pressure/balance/rotation ?

If due to running low tire pressure, it would wears both outer and inner shoulders.

I'll look into it... and see if it's both sides, or just the outside.

The only other concern would be that I haven't re-centered my axle after installing a Mopar lift... but considering the adjustment is so small, I didn’t think it would be the cause.

Thanks for the food for thought.

What's throwing me off is... if due to tow, why did it take 6k miles to start/show . Seems it would have started immediately and gotten worse over time/milage.... but instead, I didn't see any changes until I was searching for the right tire pressure.... mmm ?
