? Holy smokes man! Here in Florida my annual power bill is only ~$2k, and between me and my wife we only burn ~$2500‐$3000 annually in gas at the very most. And that's with me driving my JTR 20 miles each way to/from work. It would take a LONG LONG time to recoup the costs of going solar & EV..... if we EVER did!25k. Eliminated 5k yearly power bill and 6k gasoline the wife burned on fuel ferrying 3 kids around to 3 different schools and 5 different sports.
Power would likely be 8k a year now....prices have skyrocketed. Costs us nothing.
Sounds to me like your state has created the situation you're in.
