This video was on my youtube page. Thought I would share. It gives some insight on removing the fuel pump even tho it's a Gen 2.

Not applicable since its a gen 2 but thanks! Also the HPFP is a recall, the dealer is responsible. Why would you even think of touching it?
It's the same fuel pump almost. And it's in the same location. So if anyone was thinking about getting the pinned RCD fuel pump. They now have an idea what is involved. The same goes with people wondering about what the dealer is doing replacing the pump.

Yeeeup, I just got the HPFP recall done. If I wasn't under warranty for another 100,000km I'd get the RCD pump done and be done with it.

I think you shoudl so more research before you post bad information. Forums should educate people not mislead them, using terms like "almost" in your statement makes it very clear to me you have no idea. See below the location of a gen 3 HPFP and gen 2 HPFP. I will let you come to the conclusion.

Right beside the air intake on both versions, the Gladiator is flipped. The location is pretty much the same. I'll let you come to that conclusion though.

Anyone taking bets on how long until they're banned again? ?

How about if I just delete the whole thread. Would that make you happy.
Trying to help people out. To give them an idea. The principal is the same.

Please do, and make sure you go post your current mileage in the thread I started for ecodiesels.
You are very condescending in the way you write. So everyone takes offence to it.

Rusty PW,

I think you and about 5 other individuals on this platform feel that way and its evidently clear who those people are. If anyone is going to make misleading statements or spread information without providing a proper source I will call them out every time. It's not personal man.
Look out guys... we got a fact checker over here.

OMG, that would be like the whole entire purpose of this forum. To cultivate the best information amongst a group that all shares a common interest.
I'm so glad you are starting to see the purpose of this whole platform, which I'm postive somone took hardwork to create and make on their own time.
Therfore respect the system, and provide factual information to the community.
You're telling me that the forum isn't just to post pictures of cars?

My guess is they're mostly AI these days anyways.

I didn't ask ChatGPT beforehand, in case I am being fact checked.

This video was on my youtube page. Thought I would share. It gives some insight on removing the fuel pump even tho it's a Gen 2.

The video comments on the fuel pumps reliance on timing isn’t super critical but does play a role in efficiency. Hmmm I am half def so didn’t notice any audio change with the pump swap…. Outside of complete take off I wonder if there is any other way to verify pump timing.

Edit:
I suppose efficiency could be interpreted a couple different ways. And really it doesn’t matter at all. My original thought to efficiency went to the operations, but thinking more on it, I suppose this could also mean total motor efficiency with where/when the fuel pump gear is being turned in correlation to the cam for motor efficiency

Lets just stop feeding the troll folks, it's not worth wasting your time discussing anything with that individual as already proven.

There was another thread somewhere that had a really good discussion about timing... will see if I can find it. It was quite an interesting read.

@ShadowsPapa might have some better info on this.
