I am looking for some input. I have a 2022 Jeep Gladiator sport currently on stock suspension. I am looking to get a new set of rims. I am thinking getting some black rhinos abrams fitted with some Kenda klevers with a teraflex leveling kit. I am debating on A/T 315/70R17 or the R/T 315/70R17. It is my daily driver with occasional light off roading. Basically wondering if the rough terrain tires will get eaten away from the hot Florida roads. Thanks for reading.

no experience with the RTs but I have the ATs and very happy with them.

Honestly, occassional light offroading you could accomplish with all-seasons, i wouldn't aim for anything too rough

I have the same size Kenda ATs and they’ve been really great. Excellent wear after 30k miles (11/32” left of the original 15/32”). Great in rain too btw (for 315mm wide tire lol)

Im going to 37s next so I won’t be going with the ATs again since they don’t offer that size. The R/Ts are on my radar for that reason.

Thank you! I am leaning towards the A/T.

Don’t rule out the at2. It’s probably middle of the 3 as a DD tire. Its nice on the road and still fairly aggressive. I’ve run them for about a year in snow, ice, mud and on the road. And they are light.

How did the Kendas do towards your mpg? Any loss of power?
I lost a little grunt if I remember correctly but it’s still good for a brick on wheels. Plus I have 4.10 gearing which helps. It also did good towing a 6x12 U-Haul trailer from Texas to Massachusetts last summer (including Appalachian Mountains). However, I can’t speak to the experience with 3.73 gears. My guess is you’ll be fine either way in Florida on 35s.

Braking is still great. 51k miles on original OEM brakes, no issues. However, maybe mine are different since I have the max tow package? Not sure if that was ever confirmed on the forum so don’t quote me haha.

MPG definitely will drop. I get 17-19mpg on highway roadtrips and 14 around town. I have a lead foot though and don’t baby the throttle/rpms.

Edit: Maybe I should do a 0-60 one of these days. I really don’t get the complaints of acceleration with the 3.6 & AutoT. Merges wonderfully on the freeway - I get to 70+ mph and merge into traffic with ease every time.

Right on I am definitely leaning more towards A/T the more I hear!

Thanks again for your input! I am at 19.5mpg and mostly on open road now. I will update down the line on any changes in my experience once installed. Getting more excited to get these rims and tires!

I got a set of the ATs when Walmart had a crazy sale. Scooped up 5 for a little over $400. About 2/3 worn after about 40k miles. Similar MPGs to what was posted above as well (on 4.10s with max tow). Would definitely buy them again
