Friday mourning this happened............... Thankful for the Rubicon rock guards I installed. Hit the left front tire, Engine puked all oil on the ground and the rock rail is bent in a foot. Air bag went off. Totaled?

Sheesh. I hope no one was hurt. I certainly don’t know if it’s totaled or not but I suspect you’ll find out soon enough.

The offender was texting and driving I bet. I live/drive in the area and I’ve never seen more people texting and driving in my life since moving here smh.

Hopefully you are OK. The insurance will total your JT most likely. Get a lawyer and go after the other guy. Company vehicle and no license. A lawyer's wet dream.

I was t-boned in the driver's front tire and fender in August. Much less cosmetic damage than you and no airbags, but ended up being a huge fiasco with the body shop to get it fixed. 4 months later and ended up being more than $24k in damage with replacing the front axle and the entire frame along with a few small cosmetics. Honestly it would of been easier had they just totaled it out and I could of purchased another one and moved on with my life pretty quickly. It was a lot of back forth with insurance and the body shop and I seemed to encounter every excuse possible before they finally finished. LOL I'm still waiting on some parts too that the body shop messed up during the repair. Go figure.

Glad you are ok, I know when I got hit I was traveling around 55mph and the other guy blew through a stop sign in a Mustang and it felt like I was hit by a truck after. Since the driver hit me was uninsured and it wasn't his car, I was left holding the bag on the deductible and wasn't even able to claim diminished value. The only good news is I recently checked my CarFax and it only lists it as "minor" damage on the report. I guess they only filed the info from when they originally thought they would slap a new fender and wheel on and call it a day.

Yeah I would be fighting that on every possible level. Sue the state if it comes to it since they're unwilling to hold the offender accountable to their own requirements.
