Why is it so hard to find a subwoofer box for these things?

Yep. Now do I want to spend that $400 or take the time to build my own?
I think you'll be happy either way. I think the design BRP has is a great balance of adding bass while retaining some cargo space. If you design and build your own, it may not necessarily save you tons of money, but you'll have fun spending time making your own.

Its not. I wanted the whole package. Custom tuned, amps/dsp, drivers and sub. I also did NOT want to lose the lockable storage unit under my Rubi JT LE because it is a SUPER nice unit.

I did not want to piecemeal a solution together. I have installed custom sound systems in Jeeps since 1981 for reference.

I had the Alpine system with 8.4 head unit. And while it was decent I prefer more volume, more bass and a balanced soundscape. The Alpine fell short but not by far. I retained the 8.4 which I think is a very adequate head unit. I also wanted to maintain as close to possible OEM since it is a Launch Edition (LE).

I chose OEM Audio +.

It is a premium component system and is pricey, but a for a good reason. I also had the system installed by Audio Northwest, Olympia, WA.. I also opted to have my install team to acquire the platform/products from OEM Audio directly since they are a VAR and in the event of any issues and for warranty coverage long term I had backup.

I purchased the required Jeep OEM parts on my own.

The installation is complex, and requires an expert level of installation skills and tools. I am old enough and experienced enough to recognize this was an install I did not want to tackle. Installation was about 1200.00 for a full day install with two installers.

The installation looks OEM and the sound difference is incredible.

This is nice, I wish it was Line-x instead of carpet. jL-W1 are a little week, but nothing really heavy duty fits under there. Boundary loading boxes like this sound the best.
It's expensive, but worth every penny. The stealthbox looks factory, it's a simple and clean install, and the sound is awesome.

Does the stealth box bolt it?

Basically the JL Stealth Box but almost $1000 cheaper
Even if Stinger was considered the same quality and sound as JL, there's still a notable difference in speaker size. Stinger uses 8" subs whereas JL uses 10". That's not to say the 8" stinger subs would disappoint, but I wouldn't consider the cheaper Stinger box as a substitute for JL.

OK, I know about Fox Acoustics, but who else makes a underseat sub box for these things? Looking for 1 10 or 2 8s , unloaded, sealed or ported, with a reasonable mounting depth so I don’t have to use shallow mount subs. Everything I find is either way too big or something else is “wrong” (price, only comes with subs, etc)
I avoided it for a long time, but recently installed a Memphis 10” 360w powered sub. I couldn’t be happier with the performance. It was turn key and really sounds amazing. And it came with a RJ11 powered remote allowing me to turn it down to nothing when my wife is in the car. :). I put it behind the rear passenger seat, but it would fit under easily. I’m very impressed with the sound quality for something so shallow.
