You’re not going to find the absolute answer here or by Googling. There are multiple NAPA leather product lines and nobody but mgmt level types at Jeep would know which they use. Obviously it’s not the same quality you’re going to find in a Lexus or any top tier auto company. Of course that’s not a bad thing IMO. Because you’d be paying for that higher end leather, and if you’re out doing some off-roading and end up getting mud and such all over you are you really going to be wanting to get it all over your seats? Probably not if you paid premium $$ for it.

It’s all marketing.

If I remember right, napa is not leather. It's like the hide of the great Nauga. When I managed a Caddy dealership , the lower priced CTS and others had a leatheret interior. it was just leather looking vinyl . Even the big Caddies just had real leather in the seat center, not on the bolster or side panels.

I’d be more interested in knowing how much actual leather there is in factory leather seats. You’d be better off buying cloth and having katskins put in.
Interestingly enough, they're all built cloth, taken over to an upfitter, cloth is cut off, an Katskin is installed "from the factory"

Same with bedliner, rock rails, head liners, it's all outside sourced lol.

I don't know about the Napa leather, but the regular leather in our JTs is not thing more than just some fancy vinyl covers.

How many Naugas does it take to make seat covers for a JT?

Not sure the number of Naugas it takes in total but I'd bet Mopar Super Secret Squirrel Edition sticker package needs more.

I believe that's only if you order Leather on a sport, or the leather upfit package. Rubis, Mojaves and Altitudes with leather are coming from the factory directly.

It's all of them, they do it right across Stickney Av from the factory, same as the rock rails, bed liners, head liners, and tonneau covers.

Huh, interesting. I actually feel better that my Rubi leather is actually katskins then. Nice.

I'm curious, do you know who is doing this work for Jeep?
I do, but I'm not going to go into it, they have one customer, Stellantis, so it's not like a Ziebart truck accessory shop, they simply are not going to talk to any customer who's not Stellantis. It's not like you can call them up and get a price on a bedliner.

I was just being nosey because I've been in the Toledo area my whole life. I'll ask some friends who work at Jeep.

You've probably seen the little trains of Wranglers and Gladiators putting into and out of TNAP then.

That's where they're going and coming to.

They must be doing pretty good, more than half have leather. I need to find the sheet. So to the tune of 15000 seats done in 2023.
