Wow..leaving a jeep for Bronco is kinda like jumping off the sinking ship directly into a pool of sharks as guess havent noticed HUGE number of issues with the new Bronco. Neighbor two doors down got one and it has been out of commission 6 of the 11 months he has owned it. (I love the look though!)

Best of luck
I totally understand, I’ve had bad luck with my jeeps too… I had a 2009 wrangler with the death wobble and dealership couldn’t fix it and now I traded my 2019 Ram Warlock for a 2023 Gladiator and it’s been in the shop since May 27 for a motor fan but I not ready to give up on it yet…

My wife has a Bronco and I have a Gladiator. Each have their own issues but lemons exist everywhere. Hope you love the new ride, even when my wife has issues she still loves that thing.

Had a new 1977 hardtop. No AC, no cruise but it did have captain's chairs and somewhat shag carpeting on all vertical surfaces in the rear (seat had been deleted when it was customized). Loved it, hated the gas mileage.

Well this is probably my last post on the forum. I built a Gladiator Rubicon two years ago just to my specifications from the dealership and I’ve had nothing but problems with the Jeep. In two years time frame I’ve had two door seals that needed replaced (water leaking), numerous corrosion issues on hood/tailgate/hinges/doors, and now the latest issue an oil leak by the intake manifold. Don’t get me wrong I love Jeeps but it’s ridiculous that I’ve had so many issues with the Jeep only being two years old and only 27K miles. It’s time to move on and try another OEM. Hopefully Jeep gets their act together because they just lost a customer due to their poor quality.
im sure you’ll love the Bronco. I have one of eat, JT and Bronco and like both. I would say that overall the 2.7 eco boost is a far better engine than the 3.6 in every way. The oil leak you mentioned is a very common one on the 3.6.

The JT imho is much better for overlanding and going difficult places. And believe it or not, it’s much quieter than our Bronco. Maybe it she own wranglers but the Bronco is loud! When they wear out, I’ll replace with K02/K03s and maybe that will help. I also like the interior of the JT more although the Bronco has a little more room. And I do like the ease of the 4wd and drive modes in the Bronco.

Honestly I love them both for different reasons. I’m just waiting for my 3.6 to develop a leak or other issue to “justify” the hemi swap and dump the 3.6 which in my opinion is the only serious drawback to the JT

Not being able to receive RCS encrypted text on the broncos sport is unfortunately something that could tarnish are time with the Bronco Sport. I can receive the same RCS text messages when connected, via Bluetooth, to Uconnect.

Can't blame you wanting to make the change based on your experiences.
The only real issue I see that keeps coming up on the Bronco is the weak tie rods, and fixes are out there for that. The stock ones are probably fine unless you are doing some more serious off-roading.
I'm still trying to decide on what's next.
I love my Mojave, but keeping a Jeep longer term frightens me a little. LOL

Dunno.... I still have a 94 YJ Sahara in my garage that I literally havent driven in 10 years... every year or 2 I fire her up and every time she fires up first or second try even after not started for well over a year and really, really, really old gas in the tank (I am gonna get slammed for that).

Need to sell it... Wife keeps harping why I haven't sold it. Eventually I will either sell it or go crazy with a Coilover conversion and 44"s.

It was whole different company back then.
But yeah, you need to change out the gas.

I always tell people to stop reading Consumer Reports and buy what you love. If you love a vehicle, then you're more likely to deal with the issues and not allow those issues to affect the ownership experience. If you don't love the vehicle, then it's easy to get frustrated and eventually hate the ownership experience.

The Gladiator was an easy decision for me. For one, I loved the concept of a Jeep truck, but I also loved the diesel powertrain. Is it perfect? No, but I have enjoyed the ownership experience and plan to keep the truck for 20+ years.

LOL... I got the Diesel myself as my last project jeep.... Eventually it will probably be on 44's with prorock 60/80 mix.

But yeah... Reading reports and saying I am getting this because it has a better record of not having issues. It is interesting when you actually look at the stats to find the top picks average X amount of issues while the top 10 worst are only higher from a statistical number. From a quick internet search I found one thing saying Ford was number 1 for recalls in 2022 and 2023....

My 94 YJ Sahara broke the rear differentials 3 times in the first year.... The Dana 35C was notorious for breaking.... Gotta love that I actually made Jeep replace my 35C with a Dana 44 (Yes they paid for the whole new axle).

Personally.... I love my jeep and I don't about the issues. I look at it as a work in progress... Hmm... this broke.... Hmm... Nice after-market upgrade is way stronger :)

I've had more issues with one toyota than I have had with 2 jk's with the 3.6 and one jt since 2012. Iam no jeep fan boy but my jeeps have been pretty trouble free.

I wonder where they got the Dana 44 from? Do you know? It was never an option for the YJ and it wasn’t in any other Jeep at that time either.

Understand that your Gladiator had issues not all Gladiators or jeeps have them. My 2020 with just over 30,000 miles has been excellent with zero issues and zero Maintenace save oil changes and annual state safety inspection. It may be just luck of the draw that you got a mild lemon and could happen with any make or model vehicle. That being said, hope you do better with the Ford but I doubt it unless their body rot issues have been taken care of. Good luck!

Body rot issues? Never heard of this. Can you elaborate?
