Nope, I use it like it's a Jeep Truck so the bed gets beating and that's what I bought it for. I pamper the engine and transmission and keep up on alm the maintenance to keep it running strong but the other stuff really makes little difference on resale value. My buddy pampered his 2010 JKU and we had similar miles on ours when he sold his in 2020 to buy a JLU and he got about $11,800 selling it out right and I got $11,000 for mine and that was with AC not working properly and it was beat up some from wheeling it. A few dents a dings here and there.

I keep mine pretty clean. Just depends on the road grime i pick up. There is a huge difference in Daily driver dirt and trail dirt.

I like to see mine covered in mud but I do keep mine pretty clean inside and out including undercarriage. Especially so during the winter months as Vermont uses more salt on the roads in one storm than is contained in a typical salt mine.

Day 1, 134 miles.

We wouldn't put up with all the shortcomings of this thing compared to a similar priced Acura or Lexus if it wasn't for the offroad capability.

I wash and clean the outside and interior every two weeks. Then it gets a good spray wax put on it. Getting her ready for surf fishing I had at least 3 coats of wax on the body. Every time I come back from fishing the beach, she gets a undercarrage spray down.

The Rubicon and Mojave get washed weekly as I am retired and don’t have and excuse other than rain. And it will not rain until November. But fog and tree pollen does a number on them!

When I purchased the 2023 Mojave with a soft top, I was worried about the neighbor’s pine tree dropping sap or pine cones. It was an ugly dirty tree that really lifted the sidewalk. I asked if I could remove it. Well 1 turned into 3 trees, 4 junipers, and a cactus garden. The yard was badly overgrown and an eyesore. So yes, I pamper them! And it felt good to help an elderly neighbor and veteran.

The 21 JTRD was washed this morning prior to heading to the beach. Sun is trying to come out!

Tires: 37’s BFG KO2’s
Wheels: TeraFlex Nomads that have been discontinued and it pisses me off. I wanted to put the same ones on my Mojave. Easy to clean with built in valve stem protection and an air let down valve.

I've had my Mojave for three years now and still love it but, I don't pamper and tinker with it like I used to. In fact, can't tell you when I washed it last. So, this morning, after feeling a bit guilty for how dirty it was, I washed it up really nicely and vacuumed it out. Gotta say, it looks pretty good.

I'm curious to hear from y'all who have had yours for some time now, how often do you wash and clean it up, now that "the new has worn off?"
I got my 2 gals. And they get washed 1-2 times a week religiously. But i wouldn't say I'm ever gentle with em. I keyed both as soon as i got em to get that first scratch out of the way. I wheel the ever loving piss out of my Mojave, I daily it, I tow over capacity with it on occasion. I jump it. Drift it. Do recoveries with it. The whole 9. My Rubicon is just a spare/tow rig. but she hauls a 19.3 nobo around 1-2 a month and is the dedicated winter storm spare for my family.

I've got my 2023 Gladiator since April 1st, so just getting to 3 months and I've only washed it 2 times 🤔
The blue color doesn't really look very dirty and most roads were I live are dusty, so it's difficult to keep clean from dust.

I Had to laugh at, "I keyed both as soon as i got em to get that first scratch out of the way." That's one way of getting it out of the way, ha.
Great picture of towing. Did you get him out fairly easily? Looks like it's just about ready to tip over.

Great responses by everyone who commented. As I suspected, the frequency and conditions are all over the chart. But that is to be expected.

Keep 'em coming....................
Having White, the only regular thing I do is claybar every spring. It really gets the raildust out of the paint before the coat of wax. The rest of the year is usually a spray off of grime or road salt

Wash my 2022 about every other week (pending weather) or after a big trip. That's about the level of cleanliness I keep all my cars regardless of age. My daily is a 2010 Miata and I wash that with about the same frequency.
