After 3.5 years of ownership and $6k in modifications, this is the best mod so far 😁 Wifey got the Chicco seat and I got Graco

Due date for my baby boy is right around the corner now (next month)

Congrats!
Might be too late, but I’d consider getting an infant seat that fits into a base and stroller. Big investment for the shortest time period, but when they’re little it’s really nice to not have to strap them in and out, especially when they’re sleeping. Just move the car seat from stroller to car to home bar all while he sleeps!

Thank you! Yea we looked at those detachable ones too. Wifey wasn’t a fan of the price for short use time.

We’ll see if her mind changes after a few weeks.

I like the idea of the Baxter kit but not a fan of having to take that extra step of finding a mini bike pump to flush out the oil before removing the filter.

Curious if you can install a Baxter then add a filter relocation kit on top of it. Then relocate the filter at a location at the level of the oil sump.

No need for a bike pump. Install an ARB twin compressor on your rig. Then, you can air up and down as well as use the Baxter conversion filter.

I got the wheel fixed that I trashed on John Bull trail a few weeks ago.
Bent the wheel and popped the bead

one of my only childhood memories is cruising up a steep forest road in my dads old CJ. Certainly hope you and the fam make some wonderful memories in your Gladiator.

Mostly got the driver side done on a steering project. Ball joints, mopar cast iron knuckles, new steersmarts 2.5 ton aluminum tie rod, and fox ATS steering stabilizer. I got the driver side broken down, ball joints in, knuckles in, and everything reassembled. But haven’t done the passenger side, tie rod, or stabilizer. Here’s to getting more sore tomorrow.

I learned something important about RCV axles, which I already had. The snap ring that holds the CV assembly to the axle shaft is pretty much one time use. They usually break when the axle is removed. I found that out a couple weeks ago. I ordered six of them so I’d have them on hand.

I wouldn’t have even thought to have one repaired. Nice work.

Best price I found for a new one was $550 + tax and shipping.
$180 saved me about $420 or more.
I told the wheel guy next time I trash a wheel he's got my business.
He fixes rash too but I would just re-rash it anyway so never mind. 😂

Here’s a picture with the axle in and hub/brakes assembled. Ignore the sloppy tie rod connection. It’s temporary. Not driving it until done.
