Seat cover for the backseat, too, unless you want to dig out crushed Cheerios for the next dozen years. I hope your child is a masculine child. #IYKYK
If they just made a bathtub that the car seats buckled into, that would be awesome.

Well, yesterday morning, I woke up early to do an oil change. The first one i'm doing on this truck. I've always done it at the dealers. But now I'm out of warranty, it's quicker to do it myself. I figuerd it'll be a quick 30 min job and I can head off to work after. Lo and behold, the drain plug nut was stripped from overtighten. I tried using a couple of different wrenches but couldn't break it loose. It's like they lock tight it in and i'm stripping it more. I finally gave up and brought it back to the dealer. Told the service guy what happened and I'll be needing a new plug as well. He seems unfazed and just wrote it up as a warranty service at no charge. Appears to me this is not the first time he has seen this. At least I got a free oil service out of this, I guess. Rest assured I'll be doing my own from now on.

Lmao yea I definitely need to get a solution for that. If he’s anything like I was as a kid, he’ll be throwing food/toys everywhere lol.

Lol, yea I’m enjoying my sleep now while I can. We have imaging tomorrow at the doctor so we’ll get a better idea of his size.

Last time they told us his legs were very long for that stage so we’ll see the verdict this time around. Every adult male in my wife’s family is giant, 6’3”+ not exaggerating. Her dad is 6’5”. I’m 6ft so I fully expect the get to be on the bigger side eventually at least. Basketball and baseball will be heavily on the menu lol.
Very often follows the size of father when born. Meaning, if dad was 10# baby then expect that. If 6# then likely closer to that. Assuming normal diet, etc.

Post-Dishpan repair.
Got a gently used taillight off eBay for half price, which was perfect since I could reuse my blind spot monitor. Pretty easy to swap, really, of course unless you have to do some bodywork to get the taillight to fit🤦‍♂️.

I would also like to point out that I went OEM because I utilize my BSM living in the city (and they will likely last more than 1-2 years).
I found it VERY funny that people say those monitors do not work well in the popular aftermarket taillights…
YET, they seemed to work just as designed with me driving around all duct taped up and/or loose-eyeball dangling for a week!

For my poor wife, I really wish that was the case. I was 6ish pounds and my mom had an easy time. Things went downhill from there with my sisters. 2nd born (middle sister) was a little bigger and 3rd born (baby sister) was breach and came out making a statement to the world that holds true today by being born ass first.

Looks great! Did the tailgate badge come with a template to help with the installation? Did you get them from Gladius Offroad? I have been thinking about doing it.

Yuck. I highly recommend a Fumoto valve in your future.

Mostly got the passenger side done. It was a fight. I’m hoping I didn’t damage the axle seal. It was listing to passenger during the project due to driveway angle. So some gear lube came out during, but I slowed it with paper towel. I assumed it was the angle. I ran out of time so haven’t topped off the diff yet. I’m really hoping the little bit that came out after the shaft was back on was already in the tube past the seal. If not, I’ll need to pull them again and figure out how to replace the seal. Dammit. Oh well. I roughed in the new tie rod. Didn’t adjust it or clamp it yet. But it’s torqued on the knuckles.

I’m not positive that the passenger side axle seal is damaged, but if it is, does anyone have a video for how to replace it? I know it’s just outside the fad, but I don’t know if it’s installed from the fad opening, or from the outside of the tube. Thanks. I’m hoping the fluid that came out is just a result of me not draining the front diff when pulling the axle shaft. I am of course going to top it off. The fluid has way less than 5k miles on it.

Finally sold my stock wheels and tires after sitting in the garage for 5 years. I knew someone would eventually need them. LOL
$400 for set of 4.

Wife thought $400 goes towards next vacation. I think, since they came from JT, $400 should go back into JT. Like in the form 5100's. $400 is a good start. 80k miles and the shocks are getting a lil bouncy.

After work and some dinner prep, went back out to try to get things closer to drivable. Got the upper ball joint greased and tensioned. Greased definitely, tensioned, who knows? I hope so? Got the tie rod in and adjusted the toe. It's close but not perfect at 3.5/32 toed in. Worked on the steering stabilizer which is mostly just mocked up. No clearance problems in the driveway, but I'm not happy with it. I'm going to run it by steersmarts tomorrow since it's their track bar, drag link, and tie rod. Haven't adjusted the steering wheel, but I'm sure it will need to be. Also haven't topped off the diff fluid after losing a little with the passenger axle out.

If anyone is running steersmarts and a Fox ATS stabilizer, I’d love to hear from you on how yours is adjusted for clearances.
