I have used a torch and a Thor Hammer to straighten out bent aluminum rims before. One guy I know. Puts them in a lathe and straightens them using a torch and a roller wheel.I got the wheel fixed that I trashed on John Bull trail a few weeks ago.
Bent the wheel and popped the bead

I tried to straighten it with a bottle jack but it cracked on me so o found a local guy to straighten it and weld it for $180

I picked it up today and will install it when I get home tonight.

Did you use the torch with the tire on or did you take it off? I thought about heating it up when I was working on it but didn’t want to melt the rubberI have used a torch and a Thor Hammer to straighten out bent aluminum rims before. One guy I know. I did it without the tire on it with the torch. I did beat out one rim without using a torch. That was a oem Power Wagon rim made by Alcoa. Forged aluminum rim, not cast.Did you use the torch with the tire on or did you take it off? I thought about heating it up when I was working on it but didn’t want to melt the rubber
Seat cover for the backseat, too, unless you want to dig out crushed Cheerios for the next dozen years. After 3.5 years of ownership and $6k in modifications, this is the best mod so farWifey got the Chicco seat and I got Graco

I hope your child is a masculine child. #IYKYKI have Bartact covers to protect the leather from kids. But thankfully all the food ends up under the seats in the storage bin. And nothing at all wrong with girls.Seat cover for the backseat, too, unless you want to dig out crushed Cheerios for the next dozen years.I hope your child is a masculine child. #IYKYK

Ohhhhh. Forgot about that. I’m one of the few people in the world that unbelievably hasn’t seen the godfather. I know. Ashamed.
The cool thing is you only need one seat and however bases for the cars your baby will be in. You, wife, grandparents, daycare, etc. Lot cheaper than multiple seats.Thank you! Yea we looked at those detachable ones too. Wifey wasn’t a fan of the price for short use time.
We’ll see if her mind changes after a few weeks.
the use time is longer than I would have thought as a new dad 8 years ago. They’re in boosters until they’re like 80 lbs. even those tear up the leather. But not as badly as full seats. Wait until you need to use the tether anchor for front facing. Then you’ll be swearing.Thank you! Yea we looked at those detachable ones too. Wifey wasn’t a fan of the price for short use time.

Lmao yea I definitely need to get a solution for that. If he’s anything like I was as a kid, he’ll be throwing food/toys everywhere lol.Seat cover for the backseat, too, unless you want to dig out crushed Cheerios for the next dozen years.I hope your child is a masculine child. #IYKYK
Lol, yea I’m enjoying my sleep now while I can. We have imaging tomorrow at the doctor so we’ll get a better idea of his size. The cool thing is you only need one seat and however bases for the cars your baby will be in. You, wife, grandparents, daycare, etc. Lot cheaper than multiple seats.
One thing that was great and touched on a little bit is the kid falling asleep and not waking them up. My oldest would only take a nap after 10 minutes on the freeway. Once he was out he was OUT. So driving up an exit and back would get us a good 2 hours of peace.
The other thing is transport. when it is cold or rainy/snowy, you can load the kid on the house, (DO NOT have a puffy jacket on the baby when putting them in a carseat! straps will fall off always!) and then plunk them in the base in less than 10 seconds vs trying to wrangle a wiggly, angry, contortionist in the middle of whatever storm you are in.
Since the bottom of most carrier type seats are rounded, you have a built in rocker and swing if you can handle the weight. I almost couldn't since both our boys were born able to vote (over 10 pounds and over 22 inches at birth).
But huge congratulations! Store up on your sleep now. First few months, you will be doing an excellent impression of a zombie.

Last time they told us his legs were very long for that stage so we’ll see the verdict this time around. Every adult male in my wife’s family is giant, 6’3”+ not exaggerating. Her dad is 6’5”. I’m 6ft so I fully expect the get to be on the bigger side eventually at least. Basketball and baseball will be heavily on the menu lol.
My 6'3" bil drove a Scirocco, my nephew drove a 2000-ish 2-door 3-series BMW.
