I'd run to the battery. Your cables are probably larger than the oem ground. I would want a direct connection.

The factory Warn winch in a Power Wagon. Both cables go straight to the battery. And there is no disconnect switch either.

Looking at the inside fender well, I see a Big Stud sticking out.

Already in used as a ground, so tempting!

I'm thinking of finding a point of the frame simply for the wench ground.

Would hate to through off some of the electrical systems using the same ground already in use.

This should help out.

Media blasted it, and painted it cadaver color.

Played with the intended install a bit.

Took some liberties with the install, had some fancy hardware.

Ran outta gas, I'll phinishit tomorrow.

Hot lead not connected to the battery yet, a coule of zip ties needed too.

With the original switch I had, talking to a buddy, "Hey Bubba, watt stops someone from poppin' yer hood an' messin' with your wench?"

I live in a real bad area, and a valid pernt.

Kinda cool the "Bow Truster Knob" is removable, keeps an honest, man honest!
