Looked over the install on a diesel and the air tank goes were the spares goes. Very bummed as I wanted to run this kit.

Ugh, how lazy is that. There are plenty of creative places to put an air tank

Thanks for letting me know me about my own vehicle, Mojave guy ;)

I read the instructions too. Speaking of lazy, they didn't bother to update the instructions with photos of a diesel engine bay. Battery and fusebox are in really different places, and there's a fair bit of electrical hookup work involved. Hope they adjusted the wiring lengths... Hell, for that matter a bunch of interior photos on all the Gladiator instructions prominently say "WRANGLER" on the grab handle lol

They want a 5 gallon air tank, which OK, isn't going to fit neatly underneath with a stock diesel. Could work under the rear seat if the tank were long and skinny enough, or in the bed. I'm perplexed that they think users would rather move the spare to the bed (leaving a ton of dead space around the tank and compressor) than put that much smaller assembly in the bed. Or offer some options. Does it really need 5 gallons? Would the compressor kicking on more frequently with 3 gallons be as much of an impact as relocating the spare?

More semi-DIY options in general would be welcome - me personally, I have space for a long skinny air tank between my cab and Alu-Cab Canopy Camper; that would work great for me. But DIY is not something they want you doing ("WARNING: Only use the control arms supplied in this kit. Never use alternative control arms. WARNING: Only use JRi Shocks for this vehicle. Use of other shocks can cause air spring failure. WARNING: Only use supplied track bar. Use of any other may cause instability." etc) at least according to these instructions. If you have some alternative suspension set up, it seems they will require you to completely remove it.

Seems like such a weird lawyerly way to be in the mod-heavy Jeep world. I don't see the same attitude from other suspension suppliers

We put a kit on a diesel and put everything in the bed. We did 2 5 gallon tanks and 2 compressors. You will not be happy with less air unless you never plan on adjusting your suspension.

My customer also had a Rsi cap and a deck system. I didn't grab any inside bed pics.

Lots of reasons for the disclaimers. Mainly all testing was done with their products. Imagine the trouble shooting phone calls of customers trying to make there own stuff work. Also the ride height sensors connect to the arms and shocks are tuned for the air bags.

Has anyone ran this kit with 40’s? Just seems like a lot of lift for 37’s. Curious if the components have more interference than the traditional suspension.

FYI, I bought my system from AccuAir directly and I am glad I did. Their Black Friday sale last year was too good to pass up. The system was on backorder for a very long time but at the discount, I could afford to wait.
What sort of price did you end up paying?

Some interesting conversation here guys.

The last comment mentioned Tractor Trailer and I’d like to add that commercial vehicle air suspension system rarely have issues with bags blowing. Not to say it doesn’t happen, but those systems go through millions of miles with heavy loads throughout all conditions on our continent. Personally I think the likelihood of a failure is pretty slim unless it’s an air leak issue. With that being said, that’s the reason for using air in a Tractor system. Air is automatically self replenishing by the compressor and can function exceptionally well while losing air! I’d recommend getting into the habit of at least weekly checks of shutting off your truck to listen for leaks and finding/fixing them as soon as they’re detected! Mainly turn off the auto lowering feature if you choose to use it and listen.

Does the AccuAir system top out like the Jeep QuadraLift system? My WK2 would top out over small things like speed bumps and it made an awful sound and feeling when it did. Didn’t seem to hurt it, but it was harsh. Curious if this is a symptom of all air suspensions or just the Jeep QuadraLift.
