I am considering the following steps/sliders and would like some feedback, comments, opinions on them.

- White Knuckle - can be mounted with the factory rubi rails
- Goat Fabrication - can be mounted with the factory rubi rails
- RH4x4 (either angle down or the flat step) - must remove factory rubi rails

Leaning towards the White Knuckle or Goat Fabrication.

I had thought about the Rockslide Eng. but the costs and it being another motorized thing to worry about kind of steers me away from them. I know they have a pretty good track record but like mentioned it's another mechanical part to worry about (keep it simple sometimes is better) . Commonly run into a lot of mud around here so kind of worried about stuff getting up in the step and causing issues. However, the drop down step would be nice.

I bought CBI rock sliders because Rock Slide Engineering was too expensive. Ran them for about 2 years. I have bad knees and a wife so I decided to bite the bullet and get rock slide engineering rock sliders. After I installed them, I thought to myself... why did iI wait so long, these are fing awesome.

I love my Rockslide Engineering power steps. They have been slammed on rocks and still perform! Plus their customer service is off the chart! Awesome company
Ordered a set of GOAT Fabrication step sliders for a birthday gift for my daughter's new JL. We are at 5 weeks and waiting due to vendor issues but supposed to ship today. I will post a review once they arrive.

Seems most folks on here seem to like the RSE steps and haven't had issues with them. I was just worried about it being another mechanical part and how they would handle getting in the mud.

I'd be curious to see and hear how the goat fabrication steps install and look.

RSE’s are the bane of most off road shops existence.
I recommend you look for something thats frame, not pinch seam or body mounted if you’re gonna wheel it

I personally chose SAVVY. If you really want the step assist it’ll need some grip tape because its a bit of an angle but more biting surface than a round tube like the RHs you mentioned

Mine are weld on but the bolt on version is also super stout

I have the White Knuckle Rock Sliders and highly recommend them. There construction and fit is top notch. I went with the following options:

.188 DOM Tube Steel (they are heavy, but they are super stout)
Rubicon Rail compatible (didn’t want the exposed pinch seam with the Rubi Rails removed)
Bare Metal Finish (because of what I expected the Powder Coat to look like after shipping)

I had them Powder Coated locally and installed them. Everything went smoothly with the install following their instructions. The only thing I’d do different, is I wish I had gotten the Top Plates done in LineX instead of Powder Coat for more grip. I may do that at some point.

Do you like having the full plate top? I was considering either this or the plate just at the rear of the slider.

I went with the full top plates. The photo I used in my post is my Gladiator.

Sorry, I misread your question. Yes, I’m glad I went with the full top plate, because it provides a good area to move around on when putting the RTT up or down.

The full plates also help stop some of the tire spray from the front tires.

Good points. I didn't think about them helping to block some of the tire spray.

I have only ever used Rock Hard 4x4 products and they have always performed great. Vereran owned, US made in Nebraska, great company. No experience with the other two companies.

Super happy with my Rock Hard Patriot's - the angled up version. Built like a tank - but I don't use them as "steps" as much as I thought I might. My wife does on the passenger side, but they seem a bit awkward to me for that application.

This is my second set of White Knuckle Offroad sliders. Previously on a 2019 4Runner TRD Pro. Big fan of their product and customer service. I did not go heavy duty and chose bare steel to have Line-Xd this time. The previous were powder coated by WKOR. Did not last for sh t here in Michigan, but nothing of the sort ever does. I knew better.

Having the Rubicon Rails there make for great “foot-kick” protection too. Before said 4Runner, I had also Line-Xd sliders, bumpers, etc. on a 2012 Tundra. The top-coat sealant will keep them looking like new for as long as you have them. Well, unless you do a lot of actual rock sliding.

Don’t know where you’re located, but as mentioned above… ice forms on them like anything and sealed Line-X does nothing for adverse weather conditions.

I have the rock hard 4 x 4 angled up sliders. They have been a great so far. The entire weight of the Jeep has dropped on them multiple times while in Moab and they have held up amazingly with almost no scratches. Angled up or down gives you the step that you want. And nicely they are taper towards the back to match the lines of the frame.
