After a search doesn't seem like there's many recent brake threads so figured I start my own.
My JTRD has just under 50k on it and I'm getting the caliper warning(squeaking) that my rear pads are low. Also there has been a notifiable decrease in braking performance. For reference, I've been running heavy 38's on 20's now for about 30k and tow a heavy 16ft enclosed trailer 3-4 times a year(1500 mile distance each trip). I do drive spiritedly and in the winter I wheel in beach dunes 2-3x's a week.
I'm looking to do a full service...flush, braided lines, pads and rotors. I'm not interested in drilled rotors and the Teraflex have too many mixed reviews for me to justify the price. I know the stock brakes are pretty decent but I tend to do better than OEM when I'm replacing something. Also my rotors are rusted shit(due to the frequent beach riding).
Looking for suggestions on fluid, lines, and rotors/pads. Seems like if I'm against drilled rotors, stocks the only way to go. My current ones are too trashed to consider machining. I am planning on bumping up to 40's here within the year(but hopefully find some lighter wheels with them).
Any suggestions are appreciated. Cheers
