Ok back when I got my spacers for my “lift” I read some folks recommended replacing the factory LCA with the slightly longer arms from the Mopar 2” lift kit.

So I did. Trucks had those for 3 years and 22k miles. Driven and tracked great.

I opted for the AEV 2.5” lift kit and they use the factory LCA with geometry correction brackets. I was a bit worried the cast might be all messed up with the longer LCA so I checked it today.

6.3 deg.

I did try top of the C as well same at 6.3 deg.

So, opinions? I’ve not been able to find a specification for caster just a lot of “ranges” on forums. Seems 5-6 +- 1deg is what’s out there.

Truck drives great. Any negative to bring in the + side of the range?

People Work?
I'd leave it that way. Mine is probably closer to 7 degrees and no issues.
Did you install a carrier bearing spacer?

I have the same LCAs and 0-1in of lift depending on my load and i'm sitting about 6.8-7 ish last i checked. personally i wouldn't go below 6 but I know plenty at 4.5. I just hate brake dive, wandering and no return to center.

I have AEV lift and the shop set castor at max adjustment, about same as yours. It drives perfectly with 37's.

If it drives great, my opinion (I am not an engineer) is that you are good to go.

I once tried the longer Mopar LCA's on my JLUR with a set of geometry correction brackets (Rancho, which had some adjustment) and it was horrible, so I went back to just the Mopar LCA's. On my Gladiator, I used the stock Rubicon LCA's with the AEV geometry brackets, in exact accordance with their directions for that setup, and it is 100% perfect. My JLUR is fine, but the JT with the AEV setup very noticeably feels, drives, and tracks better.

I'm running 35's on both.

Summary of my experience:

JLUR.....35's, Mopar lift with the included LCA's, and that's it. Drives fine.
JTR....35's, AEV lift, stock Rubicon LCA's, AEV geo correction brackets. Drives perfectly.

@Josh00333 I'm guessing you used the AEV Geo Brackets with the dual sport lift? Can you please share what geo bracket setting you used for the square washers with the extended Mopar LCAs?

Anyone know which of those three settings would INCREASE caster, and by roughly how much? Mine is at the 2.5"-3" setting. I'm guessing the 2.0 setting (on the left) would increase it because it appears to push the LCA forward slightly.

I think it's the opposite. The Adj is on the upper control, so moving it rear ward will pivot the axle as if the lower was going forward.

But I'm just guessing.

Ok, you are right. I went out and looked at it. Thanks!
