That is the housing around the Radar Unit and the Camera that are utilized by the Adaptive Cruise Control, Forward Collision Warning, and Automatic High Beam systems.

EMF from a receive only antenna? Doubt it. They sell meters on Amazon if you’re curious.

I think you can control it through the display. I can turn it on or off on my WK2 through the display. It stays on with the JT, but I still think you have options without Tazer.

The settings section on the head unit allows the Auto High Beams to be disabled and the Forward Collision Warning set to Notify only. The Adaptive Cruise Control has to be enabled with the steering wheel button each time the vehicle is started.

I don't know if any of those systems can be disabled, it's not something I would ever attempt.

Thanks for this visual. I have never taken the top off my Mojave and wasn't sure where these were located. Now I am wondering if mounting an aluminum roof rack would interfere with their operation?

My OVRLND camper absolutely does. I had to place a new SIRIUS antenna, and my factory Nav no longer works.

What in the world are you on about? This thread is nonsense. Nobody’s using your AM/FM antenna to track you, and that antenna isn’t emitting any kind of harmful frequencies.

All that you’ve done by unplugging it is make your radio reception worse. The antenna isn’t required for reception, it just vastly improves it. Your radio can still receive AM/FM signals without an antenna.

I think the tinfoil hat might be on a little too tight and it’s cutting off circulation.

in conclusion? For the new Jeep Gladiator, is it only a windshield AM/FM antenna? Is the other antenna still in the speaker bar?

Dude I have an antenna that is on my 2021 which isnt embedded but , It literally has nothing to do with ypur malfunction.
Almost all vehicles after 2017 i believe have a sorta blackbox airplane style information storage unit. If ypu was traveling 95 and slammed into a telephone pole. Chrysler could access the information in the unit and give to insurance company showing the vehicles operation status prior to impact. Most modern cars with GPS can be tracked. If ypu pay for UConnect and have the assist button and SOS button in your Jeep then it also can be tracked. If your phone is in the vehicle etcetera. How would any of that technology be related to engine electronics ..It barely is.. The Government isn't tracking everyone nor is Stellantis tracking every vehicle to shut it down if it doesnt shoot back a response. I will say this was a enjoyable thread nonetheless.

There is no camera facing into the cabin in that box.

Sorry, but either your mechanic lied to you, or doesn't know squat about your JT.

The integrated windshield antenna ONLY replaces the standard, metal antenna that USED to be on the passenger front fender.

The antenna that broadcasts and receives info for your JT to be updated is located elsewhere.

But you go ahead and listen to an automotive technician (none of them are mechanics) instead of the people that have been climbing all over these trucks for 5 years.

When it randomly would go into limp mode.
It spent a month at dealership and all they could say was something was causing a random glitch on PCM 5V output. Can bus B. They claimed that they didn't know what. Pitiful.

Traded vehicle in. Will never go back to that corrupt dealership.

Yes, a ground or a 5v reference in the CAN/BUS system will fuck everything up or brick it. Last shop I worked at I was the "GM" guy and boy it was fun.
