The other options for the OP's JT are a service vehicle at the dealership (they could have listed it as a rental) or a corporate / manager vehicle (often you'll see that explained).
In the end it won't matter - it's a done deal, but a lot of what the report say depend on what's written and how.
I wonder how FCA is listed as first title holder..........at least here, the prior title holder is on your title. If there is none, then it was a new vehicle bought from a dealer.
Our vehicles will show that we are the first title holder, not FCA, not the dealer.
So I was wondering how FCA was owner of a rental vehicle that would have been rented through a different company.

Carfax and KBB are just tools designed to drive up prices or negotiate lower trade ins. I have a mini cooper once that CarMax told me was impounded in a government impound yard and that devalued my trade. WTF are you talking about? The guy said it was probably on a military base.....Um how does that mater? They he tells me the transmission was slipping form 2nd to 3rd gear. I told him he was an idiot because it was a CVT transmission and there aren't any gears. I hate CarMax and carfax

When I worked for Stellantis I hit my mileage inside a year, I had a new vehicle every 10-11 months
A lot of people actually go the distance - my father commuted to work every day - a 1 hour drive, about 55 miles, each way. There's 110 miles or more, 5 days a week, 550 miles x 4, 2,000 a month, 24,000 a year not counting other driving. He eventually car-pooled, but that later diminished as people retired, quit, whatever.

My wife lived with me on the farm for a while before we moved - Clear Lake Iowa to Des Moines and back every day. It was an oil change every couple of weeks, a tank of gas a day.

It's very easy to put that .sort of miles on a vehicle in a year's time.
I put a lot of miles on my car commuting to college each day until I got an apartment in town, then, it was because I lived north of DSM and worked on the south edge after classes. It was easy to rack up a lot of miles - it's how my first car got to 220,000 and my second car too 120,000 miles before I sold each. Commuting.

I used to work with a guy who drove from Marshalltown to West Des Moines daily for work - about 130 miles a day.
So, 50K in two years? Easy!
But I see a lot of people here don't drive their JT daily, and many who do maybe go 10 miles each way?

Ironically, I never had a JT lol, but I had two JL's, as well as a KL, and a WK2.

When they would call them back was up to central, but none of them lasted more than 13 months, and they all had 20,000+ on them.

I think all that drove calling them back was trying to avoid eating too much of a loss from mileage depreciation.

Regardless, OP gives me his VIN, I can run it in the system, and we'll know who the first owner was for sure.

...carfox. It's not all that reliable unless it's always serviced at a shop that always puts things in carfox and writes things up properly.
Case in point: we are the original owners of both our Gladiator and our Wrangler - Carfax showed us as the second owner on both because we moved from California to Tennessee and changed the registration and title to Tennessee.

Similar for a javelin I owned - granted there was no carfax or anything like that, but the original owner later added his wife to the car. It resulted in a new title and he was then listed as first and second owner as well. He sold it to a collector who sold it to another collector, then I bought it - so, was I the 4th or 5th owner?

I bought a F150 one time, brand new with 7 miles but I was the second owner. Ford Advertising owned it initially and it actually had a screenshot from the commercial it was used in. Pretty cool, kind of wish I'd kept the stuff around but I was young and dumb at the time. Picture got destroyed, and truck got beat on for 15 years then sold

I worked at a dealership for a little while years ago, every once in a while the dealership would purchase one of it's own stock just to meet monthly quotas. I think they were simply moved to the used car lot and sold there for almost new prices. Maybe that happened with this one?

I would expect that to show up under the dealership LLC as owner. 🤷‍♂️

Thanks for all your replys, after all I stop digging into the problem, like the majority of you said done deal is done deal. I enjoy my Jeep, that's all the matters.

Unfortunately my windshield got hit by a giant rock today, I can't believe I have to replace my windshield after one week of purchasing. Luckly my local store quoted me $300 for the replacement, a lot less than I expected.

Depending on your insurance replacing the windshield may be covered under your comprehensive policy minus the deductible which is usually about $100.

Progressive quotes me an additional $500 per year for $50 deductible. What insurance company do you use?
