Hello all. I’ve been wanting to downsize from a Chevy Trail Boss 1500 for quite some time. My wife and daughter were adamant I not get a mid sized truck. Well we had an Uber ride in a Gladiator on our vacation and they loved it. Permission granted. I was originally looking at a NightHawk. Made the mistake of driving a well equipped Rubicon and it was over. With the current incentives my wife was on board. I’m confident you guys will assist in the depletion of my bank account.

Hello everyone. First time on a jeep forum. I little background from NJ. My wife purchased her first jeep in 2016. A new Wrangler JKU Sport in color Tank. A nice looking Jeep, we did some upgrades. 2.5” lift, 33“ tires, Fuel rims and some cosmetic items. Not bad looking rig, but I always preferred to drive my truck. So it was always HER Jeep.
A few months ago she traded it in for a new 2024 Gladiator Rubicon in color Anvil. Needless to say after driving this thing often, I love this Jeep. Prefer to drive it over my truck.
Now a want to start some upgrades on it to make OUR Jeep even better. I’ll be posting different threads with questions. Looking forward to hearing from everyone’s experience and expertise.
Thank you everyone.

Thank you. So far I’ve only done what I consider the necessary mods: phone mount, tint, grab handle pocket, Spiderwebshade bikini, spray in bed liner, and door sill protectors. I will take my time. I’m more of a beach bum than rock climber, but I love the convertible aspect of this vehicle. I certainly won’t use it to its full potential. I went with this trim because of the creature comforts…and I like nice things.

Not new to Jeeps but new to JT.

My daily driver and work horse was a 2012 KK but with my new goal of converting a 7X14 Travel trailer into a stealth RV / Radio shack / toy hauler. The KK wouldn't be up to the task.

I am installing a Westin bed cap and a Smitty Built Safari rack and a 270° awning with tent.
And moving over the 280w commercial solar panel to Keep the JT batteries toped off and to keep the Radio battery system and Go kit battery charged.

I am using a Renogy 50A charge controller that is made for RV's So it can charge both battery systems from the solar input and also charge the Radio systems batteries as well from either the PV input or the JT's Alt when the engine is running.

I have an OEM Break controller to install with a laundry list of other items.

A 6 button controller with a remote, 3 camera Dash cam system that replaces the rear view mirror.
And the two Commercial two way radios both are 110w RF output and 100w audio output. Both have PA systems with an electronic airhorn. One is VHF that covers MURS, business band itinerants, 2m HAM, and NOAA weather. The other is UHF covering FRS/GRMS, 70cm ham , business band itinerants.
Powered by the JT's system.

My Go Kit has 300ah of LiPo power from two chevy volt batteries. The battery and power system is housed in one large ammo box.

The second Ammo box contains a Yaesu FT-891 , FT-8900R , as a start.

The Safari rack will be the Majority of the ground plane for the antennas.

The Antennas will be mounted on a rotating platform that can raise and lower the antennas to protect them from trees and parking garages and theft.
Using a 500lb linear actuator.

The VHF and UHF antenna Will be mounted on the front stinger from the two Motorola spectra's.

I hope to have everything ready by this coming April for the Sun-N-Fun air show in Lake Land FL.
Where I volunteer as Ground Ain Parking crew.

2021 Jeep Gladiator Mojave Edition.
Delurk and introductory post. I "adopted" my Jeep Gladiator in March of 2025 from a used car lot in Houston, Texas. I was going there to purchase a boring white F-150 but left the lot with a Sting-Gray Jeep Gladiator Mojave edition! In my defense, I was at said car lot completely unsupervised (my wife was initially nonplussed but came around when I let her drive it). Wildly impractical but much more fun that what I intended to buy.

I love this thing! It's on 37s and it's like driving a tank. I havn't done much with it yet as I bought it from a "definately shady used car dealer" and I have been waiting for something to fail horrifically. So far that hasn't happened.

It has a few gremlins that still need sorting out. A weird gurgling noise somewhere in the engine compartment when it starts up. LEDs on the R rear brake light aren't completely lit. AMP Powerstep rails work when they feel like it. That sort of thing. Definately a new serpentine belt.

Sorry, I don't have a good picture but, it came with an old polaroid baby picture. Maybe that's an Ohio thing? If anyone lives near Toledo, drop into the factory and let its parents know that it's now in Houston and doing all right.

Welcome!

I'll be honest, I didn't have "New user from France" on my bingo card today. What got you interested in Jeeps?

Good question ! Maybe because… plenty of defaults … but I love it

started with a TJ, then a JK 4 doors rubicon, a Commander highly modified, another JK rubicon and now this beauty…
