A couple of years ago I tossed out multiple new in the box 486 system boards as well as several video cards, memory chips and boards and other stuff I can't even remember what was in there. The system boards were brand new, Young Micro Systems top of the line boards. I've tossed more boxes of floppies, backup tapes, drives, OS disks, including Quarterdeck stuff than I can recall. But win 3.5 made it all better, like win 95, 98, 2000, 2001-6, 7, 8, 8.1, 8.5, 10, 11.
Is anyone noticing?
First its buy, then rent to use, then buy, then rent to use. Another pattern, eh?
Buy the way, I have 5" floppy of Windows 1.
I finally gave up all the rest to a legacy lab my now 40yo son, donated to his alternate High-school in El Centro, CA along with all the 8086-pentiums laptops and desktops in around 2001-2.
Cleaned out half a storage room. He helped them put it all together. Tons and tons of multiple versions of Dos, Win and many applications software that ran on both.
I bet if I dig, I'll find more new in box stuff from way back then, original versions of PCAnywhere, whatever.
