NOBODY has bought a Gladiator since 2021? SHENANIGANS!
I think people just find such comparisons pretty worthless, like comparing certain other things. What does it matter?
Locations matter, exact equipment matters.......... what else should we compare? How much did you pay for your house?

Wow!
Those prices are higher than what I paid for my home!
I cheated & bought a one that had massive discounts due to its previous life as a rented mule.
I paid $1,4xxx in addition to my $1,4xxx 2019 Fiasco 150 with its coyote motor.
It had 56,xxx miles on it at purchase.
My Ford had 64,000 miles & would soon need transmission & cooling system service.
Neither I nor any of the experienced mechanics I know could find any defects.
(Either seen or heard)
Could have paid less for an overlander or rubicon, but i wanted the bright white with cloth seats.

These how much did you pay threads- just plain silly.

I paid more than some, less than others.

Each market has its own unique dynamics & politics.
I have seen great prices in other markets but have never been bold enough to participate.
I like to deal with local businesses where I live.

One key lesson I learned when buying local & paying attention (you MUST pay attention, or you will pay otherwise) is that dealers have accounts to settle before the start of the next month.
Buying a new Patriot in 09 & a new Compass in 25 from the same sales person @ the same store did not hurt me.
Walking into a store without enough funds or value will put the buyer in a weakened position.
Walking in WITH enough value can put you in a position of strength where the buyer can negotiate more to his or her own favor.
If cash is not king, then the buyer can buy a lower rate of interest by buying down to a lower rate.
This presents the lender with a large chunk of profits @ the time the lender provides the funds, so instead of paying 7% or more, you can just pay 3 or 4% for the duration.

Just like pawn shops (I luv pawn shops), if you walk in the store with cash or card at the end of month, the buyer will have more leverage, & it is the buyer that determines the final price.
Don't believe me?
All those unsold Glads are filling dealer lots because YOU REFUSED to pay the asking price.
Have some fun testing it!
Yup!
This old geezer is still learning...................
Now, if only I can remember today's lesson tomorrow..........................

In April of '22 I paid $60K plus calif tax and lic for my '22 JTR, loaded. Then the flood gates of mods opened. I have over $80K in it now. Getting ready to flip it for one with a 6.4 in it. Then do all the mods again, only better.

Sounds like you are using the same "Cry Twice" strategy I used when I was working & earning.
Now retired, I am turning off the tears...........
I wish you great luck with your new ride.

I don't know where to get invoice price, or why people all want to say "invoice -14%" or "invoice +$3.95" instead of giving prices, but my sticker was 42,790 and my price out the door was 35,600 (somewhere mid 35's anyway)

Love these price threads, even if it's across the country it gives you an idea on what deals are possible. Then it may or may not be worth it to travel to purchase. And it just needs to be simple give the MSRP then what you paid with all the bs (dealer doc)fees added then just mention if that includes tax or not. I'm still trying to decide on which mid size truck to buy and I'm looking at all 5 just depending on the best deal. And I'll have no issue going across the country to pick it up if it's worth it.

Rebuilt title? Blown engine? 200,000 miles? Uncle did you a favor? Won it in a contest and that was the tax bill? What's the story on that one?
Got it from an insurance auction with a salvage title. Only 10K miles. Previous owner rolled it on the drivers side. Slow rollover offroad - just sheetmetal and glass damage. Amazing what insurance companies will "total" these days. Only put about $5K (and a s-load of sweat equity) into making her look good as new again.

Only negative so far to the salvage title is Jeep uses it as an excuse to disavow any warranty claims. So I'm rolling the bones that I don't get that dreaded "Tick Of Death" in my motor.

But I figure, even if I do and have to sink a few more grand into a new motor someday....I'm still golden. And if I don't - well then I'm double platinum so far as price paid.

Awesome deal! I've seen low mileage Pentastars for under $1,000, so not the end of the world if you have to eat one. But I think the odds are very low for that. And the transmission is bulletproof.

Nice work! I'd love to see before/after pics.

I paid $38,000 in October of 2023 for mine. It is a Ruby with every option except proximity key and bed liner. It had 35k miles and appeared to have never been off-road. It had a little sun fading on the upper inner door plastic and the previous owner was a smoker and his dogs roughed up the leather in the back a little. I just threw Diver Down covers in it. I also had the hood insulation and batteries replaced under warranty. It also had a new windshield.

The dealership neglected to do the cleanup, so I had to do it. That pissed me off a little, but saved me a 2nd 2.5 hour drive to Illinois. So a couple of nights with an ozone machine and a few jars of Ozium odor-neutralizer from Walmart and the smoker smell was gone. I since have installed an AEV Dual sport 2.5 lift, Rugged Ridge Arcus bumper, a 10.5k winch, stronger FAD skid plate, some lighting, CB, and Bed Rug. It came with a Rugged Ridge hard aluminum roll-up tonneau, which I love.

It was a good deal at the time, at a rural Illinois dealership. Similar JT's were going for $42 to $45k. So not bad. The truck has been perfect for me. No issues once the batteries were replaced.

It gets its big test in October, in Moab, wheeling with my brother's ZR2 Bison. Should be a fun comparo. You can bet I will do a full write up on that!
