I am not new to the forum or Jeep community. I bought a gladiator when it was first revealed in 2020 and have owned built 4 since the release. I was excited when the hemi fake announcement came out…but it kept me wondering. If stellantis is serious about putting v-8s in everything to make up for lost time, how do we feel. I can’t speak for everyone here but I truly believe if stellantis wants a hit, build a shit ton of gladiator sports in the 5.7 hemi with either a manual or automatic and it will cover the upgraded cost of only building 392 and $100,000 jeeps. They need to know the audience and we want a blank slate to build. Look at the Amazon slate trucks…we are just like that but only more loyal. You do the hard work jeep and put a v-8 hemi sport and let us change the axles, lift, wheels, tires, etc. we can build an amazing jeep that has a 5.7 in a manual or automatic with manual windows and you will take the market by a storm. Its time stellantis listens to it’s audience like bringing back the v-8 but make it attainable to the masses.

I voted no, but it’s a realistic no. If they released one anytime in the next 5-10 years I wouldn’t sell my nearly (or fully, depending on the year) paid off truck to buy another one.

The folks like yourself who have bought 4 gladiators in 5 years are an outlier.

By the time they actually come out with one, my rig will have 70K miles. I might be ready for another at that timepoint. I would appreciate the extra power as long as the cost was reasonable. I do worry about a light truck having too much power in the rear. Could be slippery in weather. I realize there is traction control but I'm wondering if an AWD mode would be available or needed.

They need to know the audience and we want a blank slate to build.
Here we go again!

The unfortunate truth is the builders and modifiers are not their core market. Far, far more people buy Jeeps for what they are and do minimal work to them if any. This "audience" you refer to is a very tiny subset. Definitely not enough of a subset to support its own product line. That means they will build and price and option for the larger non-builder market.

It's pretty moot when such a thing doesn't, and won't exist.

I'd buy a Malibu mansion for 125k too.

I'd buy 5 tons of gold for 3.99

I'd buy 10,000 shares of Nvidia at 3.00 per.

Lot's of fantasies out there to indulge in.

I'm going with maybe
I love the idea of a 5.7 in a Gladiator, but I like the upper trim levels.
I have gotten used to creature comforts like power window and locks.
Not to mention the ease of cleaning the "leather" seats.

Anytime you make a poll or survey people on something that actually involves money, it is pretty much a steadfast rule that at least 50% of those that vote "YES" will not actually follow through it if was a reality.

Closer to 90% in reality.

Amount of people who would totally buy Mercedes diesel to Ford transmission adapters if I made them, 10% conversion.

People who would totally buy LS engine mounts for their Land Rover discovery, 10% conversion.

Would totally buy LS Microsquirt harnesses, 7%.

Will totally jack their jaw about what they would do, what you should do, how you did everything wrong and they would do it right? 100%

I have owned my 2021 JT diesel and love it. I do not need a V8 to suck gas nor do I need a $100k + Jeep. If you are going to do something it needs to be under $55k. Sorry but Jeep is not a luxury brand.
