Engine swap - Any V8 engines that will bolt up to the existing drivetrain?

BTW,, the price difference between the WranglerX and the 392 is about $40K. As much as I want a V8 Gladiator I just don't know if I am ready to write a check for $105K + tax and lic. So very close to $120K. My nicely modded '22 is worth about $40K so I would have to add $80K to that plus any new mods. UGH!!!!

This math is what allows these swap companies to charge 30k and flourish.

Eventually, someone will market the Can bus stuff and adapter to easily DIY these things, and then the original post of this thread will have alot more meaning.

And these inflated swap prices will decline

That's almost funny - look at what JRGUNN has posted - still plenty of call for the JT, even with the 3.6. The masses are fine with it, only a subset of JT buyers gripe. Not enough to concern FCA.
Yes, a V8 would help, and there'd be some more buyers who have resisted because it's only a 6, but there's still enough buyers as it is to keep it going, quite obviously shown by the plans and schedules posted already.

Then, it seems, they're pretty much sititng there.

Every lot in my medium sized city has a handful already.

No line around the block, no up bidding, no fighting, no flipping... Just inventory getting stale.

In launch, I advocated so hard for it to be called Scrambler and have those graphics and packages, I was formally told to stop.

yes but if you look at dodge website a v6 to a 5.7 hemi is only 3 to 4 grand upgrade and I’m thinking that on the most parts don’t change that much but when it goes to a Moore hp it is a total redesign to handle the torque and if you don’t think this is going to happen wait till jeep take online orders for 2026 they still have a lots of trucks to sell before they will let us know

I don’t know why you guys are thinking that a 5.7 option (if it does come to pass) will be insanely expensive….

Here is what the upcharge is going from the 3.6 to a 5.7 on a 2026 1500 RIGHT NOW!

At that price it’s not worth trying to do your own conversion…and is also a no brainer for many people.

Most other manufacturers are offering more than one engine choice in their midsize pick ups…why not Jeep?
