so please explain how said wood will rot out under a bed cover, I’ve had two 2x4s in the rear slots in the bed since I bought this truck new in June 2021 and they look brand new. secondly have you looked under a box truck ? Almost all of them have wood in between the box and the frame rails.Wow 2x4’s used to mount a fuel tank? Just wondering how long they will last, before rotting out from under the fuel cell. Hopefully noticed before the cell gets loose, especially if in an accident.
The tank is a 25 gallon sumped fuel cell from Rhodes race cars. Everything is mounted via 5/16 nutserts in the bed and is completely removable. This is version 1.5 sort of, and all will come out in about two weeks for a diy spray liner. It gravity fills pretty fast. Driving down the road the gauge will not move until the cell is empty. This is intended on being a setup I use for traveling only. I get round 12-14 towing around 5000 lbs.
meth is working well so far, EGTs are down and IATs are ambient all the time. I believe I will switch to a smaller nozzle. i have it set to come on at 14 psi and they all go full power at 30 psi. Only bad is they don’t offer a threaded MAP sensor so I had to go with a nipple to rubber hose to the sensor. They suggested some zip ties or clamps to keep it from blowing off.
Pic of connection to filler neck
oh I’m a 22 years veteran of a PD and currently an evidence officer, I handle drugs daily, meth doesnt scare me it’s the fentanyl in all the drugs now
