Wow 2x4’s used to mount a fuel tank? Just wondering how long they will last, before rotting out from under the fuel cell. Hopefully noticed before the cell gets loose, especially if in an accident.
so please explain how said wood will rot out under a bed cover, I’ve had two 2x4s in the rear slots in the bed since I bought this truck new in June 2021 and they look brand new. secondly have you looked under a box truck ? Almost all of them have wood in between the box and the frame rails.

The tank is a 25 gallon sumped fuel cell from Rhodes race cars. Everything is mounted via 5/16 nutserts in the bed and is completely removable. This is version 1.5 sort of, and all will come out in about two weeks for a diy spray liner. It gravity fills pretty fast. Driving down the road the gauge will not move until the cell is empty. This is intended on being a setup I use for traveling only. I get round 12-14 towing around 5000 lbs.

meth is working well so far, EGTs are down and IATs are ambient all the time. I believe I will switch to a smaller nozzle. i have it set to come on at 14 psi and they all go full power at 30 psi. Only bad is they don’t offer a threaded MAP sensor so I had to go with a nipple to rubber hose to the sensor. They suggested some zip ties or clamps to keep it from blowing off.

oh I’m a 22 years veteran of a PD and currently an evidence officer, I handle drugs daily, meth doesnt scare me it’s the fentanyl in all the drugs now

Yea. I have 2x4s supporting my toolbox in the front part of my bed. I use them to raise my toolbox about 4". I've had the same wood under there for about 4yrs. No issues from rotting or anything.

The connection looks pretty tight. Have you had any issues with pressure or with any associated dash lights being triggered? And I know I could research, but it's easier to ask. Where did you get the 3 way connecter you used to plumb the line into the gas line.

I need this to fit under my bed cover, I thought about a custom tank but this was under $400

The transfer flow tank fits under a cover, but it does cost more. It was $1.7k when I bought it.

So what does this get you? 1000 miles a fill up? 800ish towing? I assume your deleted to match the meth, so you’re close to big boy diesel numbers. 650 torque? 320 hp?

I showed this to the wife a few nights ago on our trip to the badlands, she said hell no ...

I need to install my metal Motobilt windshield washer fluid tank + duel air pump and then I might sneak that bad boy in so I won't need to fill up on US 16 at all ;)

What exactly am I looking at here? I have no idea what that is other than the extra fuel tank.

Well that was your first problem, you showed her first.

I would love to add a larger/aux tank for more range, but I already have to stop every hour so the fiancé can pee...

Then we get to the looks, kind of trailer park engineering? I would Have used a small poly pallet, or rubber slabs. What interests me the most is the methane system? Can you tell us how that works please?

So how does the water/meth set you back in the seat under full spray? I did a kit on a 24V Cummins and it was impressive. I carry 26 gallons of extra diesel with me when I leave for long trips but it is in Rotopax cans and is a little harder to transfer but it expands my range 572 miles for a total range of 960ish,
