Wanted to share some pics of my service at 85,000 miles on my 2020 JLURD (Not a JT but same engine similar use). I did engine oil/filter, dropped oil pan for cleaning, trans fluid/filter, T-case fluid, brake fluid, fuel filter and coolant.

Pan and pick up screen were clean. Big surprise was the bolt in bottom of pan. It was from windage tray. I screwed it back in and torqued it down.

Trans fluid looked good. May have been able to squeeze a few more miles out of it but I felt the need.

My choice of oil.

I went with the Zerex coolant. After draining radiator and engine block I was only able to get 2 gallons of the new fluid back in. I will do the same drain/fill 2 more times in the next 2 weeks.

Brake fluid needed a change. Bonus, my “double pump” pedal feel is gone.

T-case fluid looked good but is easy to change. I ran Valvoline ATF+4. $12/qt 😳

That bolt is long you think it would have hung up. It is nice to see a trans pan without a crossover exhaust pipe heating up the oil like the gassers have!
Nice work.....Jack

Looks good. What transmission fluid went back in?

The 3.6L section appreciates the thread none the less. ;)

Did you have to place a vacuum on your cooling system to fill it? I need to do this, but I'm worried about damage to the EGR cooler if not done right.

Where do you get the Amsoil? Direct from mfg?

I've been hoping to stumble across a store that has it but no luck so far.

Oil is not compliant. But Amsoil has a European version that is.

I order from Amsoil

Yes, I used a vac fill system. I bought a kit off Amazon for $250 and it works

Have you been using that Amsoil to date or is this something new? If not, what was used prior?

Amsoil has provided some of the best used oil analysis results on these engines, specifically the European 5W-40 Synthetic AFL MS.

I set up an account with them and order direct. They're quick. My coworker and I maintain two different EcoDiesels with it and roll the rewards back into it and split between us.

I get it as it is run like a MLM similar to AMWAY but it is the real deal. They have been a family owned private company since day one. They have talked about it in the past that succumbing to being carried in large corporate retail establishments puts constraints on both pricing and content on them to the point they do not get to make the product they want to make.

I know it seems counterintuitive to leave money on the table, but they do not want to scale up beyond what they are comfortable with to avoid taking on debt that can then be leveraged against them.
