Hey all, new to this forum. But not new to the Jeep community having owned an 18 JLUR manual, and now the past two years a Gladiator Mojave automatic. Yeah, i was still in my old JL Forum the past two years, but the gladiator community on that site doesn't really exist.
I want to kick this off right, i loved my JL and love my Mojave. I have every intention of paying it off and keeping it.
But, and this is a but that I am curious if anyone else can chime in on.. The fox suspension is hot garbage. I bought this thing CPO in 24 with 16k miles and am now a few hundred from 37k miles. Mechanically it's been a rock star, as was my JL.. But the Mojave suspension is trash. Every two months over the past two years, the Gladiator is getting all 4 shocks warranty replaced. It's never been offroaded, always lives on back country 2-lane highway roads, on Occassion it has been on old fire trails, but a corolla would make it down them. The fox suspension seems to leak, or the seals blow completely, or they bend on rough pavement.. Even my wife's rav4 prime survives the same roads without these issues..
Has anyone else had the nightmare that is fox?
I am looking at getting either Falcoln 2.1 or Falcoln 3.3 replacements, as i just can't deal with the continuously blown fox hell that i have been living..
Anyone have them that can speak to if they were/are better?
Thanks to anyone who can feel my pain or give me some tips on an overland suspension that has more reliability or build quality.
