Hey all, new to this forum. But not new to the Jeep community having owned an 18 JLUR manual, and now the past two years a Gladiator Mojave automatic. Yeah, i was still in my old JL Forum the past two years, but the gladiator community on that site doesn't really exist.

I want to kick this off right, i loved my JL and love my Mojave. I have every intention of paying it off and keeping it.

But, and this is a but that I am curious if anyone else can chime in on.. The fox suspension is hot garbage. I bought this thing CPO in 24 with 16k miles and am now a few hundred from 37k miles. Mechanically it's been a rock star, as was my JL.. But the Mojave suspension is trash. Every two months over the past two years, the Gladiator is getting all 4 shocks warranty replaced. It's never been offroaded, always lives on back country 2-lane highway roads, on Occassion it has been on old fire trails, but a corolla would make it down them. The fox suspension seems to leak, or the seals blow completely, or they bend on rough pavement.. Even my wife's rav4 prime survives the same roads without these issues..

Has anyone else had the nightmare that is fox?

I am looking at getting either Falcoln 2.1 or Falcoln 3.3 replacements, as i just can't deal with the continuously blown fox hell that i have been living..

Anyone have them that can speak to if they were/are better?

Thanks to anyone who can feel my pain or give me some tips on an overland suspension that has more reliability or build quality.

Even riding the back roads and rough trails here in Alaska, with my 24 JTM, I haven't had any problems with the shocks themselves. The only real thing thats happened so far is my alignment went out of whack with all the switchbacks over snow berms in 4 Hi, and now my driver's side front CV boot is leaking grease (hopefully not a broken seal, just a cut in the boot from Random Rock A).

What has been the failure on yours? Leaks and bad seals? My mechanic warned me that the low temps here in Alaska could make mine shrink and leaks, but so far so good.

They've BENT? What led to that happening?

I am currently dealing with this as well. I am looking to replace mine with the falcons.

Iron Rock offroad makes an adapter plate so you do not have to run the proprietary jounce bumpers upfront any longer. --https://www.ironrockoffroad.com/product/mojave-front-hydro-bump-replacement-kit.html

There is many people on the forum that love the mojave suspension because of the internal bypass. However, the amount of issues I've had with mine, I don't see any reason to retain.

Fox shocks were intended for motocross bikes, we used them and rebuilt them with new seals throughout the season, they are really good but need attention. IMO

Some of the best shocks you can buy. 3 tube bypasses. Only drawback is $5k+ for a set of 4.
Good choice. In my mind true racing shocks will last longer even if you don’t race because they’re built to a higher standard for the purpose of being abused. This, as I said, is in my mind so have no real data there. I’m looking at racing type as well eventually.

Not my photo, I'm still on the stock fox's that have been impressive for stock for sure. Nearing 50k miles and it's been run across the desert at 100mph, jumped a bit, hundreds of miles of washboard dirt, tower an 8400lb trailer 600 miles, loaded 1800lbs of pavers in the bed, etc. Hard use is my trucks whole life. The ADS bypasses are what is love to go to, but I'll likely end up going with a more moderate 2.5" reservoir shock like the rocksport blacks. Half the price is compelling.

Fox 2.5 and Carbon Racing are in the running for me. Still not cheap by any means but if I can get 75-100k out of em I’ll be more than impressed.

I'm watching this tread as I find it Interesting No offense - Seems to Leak ? is this like half pregnant? Leaks are clearly seen. Now seals blow out completely might One ask, which seals? and Bend on rough pavement.. We're Currently running 2 Mojaves a 21 & 23 .. both with over 25K miles on each and NO Issues.. have cousin with 22 and 35K miles No Issues. We are NOT Rock Crawlers, do run dirt trails in in Poconos on state game lands, Pa has multitudes of potholes (we mean multitudes) and etc. Just curious for more details and info so we can be better at diagnosing when we go for Mopar service contract replacements. TIA.

Gotta be something related to install. Has it been done by same dealer each time? I’m not a fan of the Jeep Fox shocks either on my Mopar lift but I have 67k on the Jeep and they still work. Kinda. It ain’t the best ride but they do the job they’re supposed to.

(Disclaimer) No idea how many miles on shocks because I bought it at a Honda dealer.
